Went here in the spur of a moment for a Friday evening dinner. Sat at the bar top. Was able to watch the kitchen scene. It was such a pleasant & lively evening. Had the famous popovers for an appetizer. And their burger and fennel sausage pasta for dinner. We ate so fast I didn't get pics. Everything was delicious. I do recommend as an intimate & thoughtful neighborhood joint.
Foreign & Domestic continues to be one of Austin's standout gems – a true pioneer in farm-to-table and nose-to-tail dining. Treated clients to an incredible evening here, starting with their masterful small plates (those legendary Gruyère popovers are an absolute must – fluffy, cheesy perfection!). We then dove into the chef's tasting menu, a seasonal, multi-course journey that showcased bold creativity with locally sourced ingredients and international flair....
we had wonderful and warm service (a few items were given free d/t some longer wait times) that was greatly appreciated. and the food was DELICIOUS. the gnocchi were melt in your mouth creamy and the mains were all so flavorful. pecan pie >>>. 10/10 recommend!
