Pastrami Hash - it was very unpleasant textures, it tasted more like a microwaved saladPork Belly Benedict - 80% was fat, not much meat. Potatoes tasted old, reheated.Service and atmosphere were great! Good coffee.

Hours. Your hours are horrendous. Coffee shops that close before 3pm are just not making a good decision.Updated. Don’t turn off the espresso machine before you close. ?

I really want to like forthright, but I’ve been there on 3 occasions and the food is just average. First time I had to have my fried chicken sent back because it was undercooked, second and third times my food came out at room temperature. I think it’s popular because of the location downtown and not because the food is good

We had a great experience here at Forthright Cafe! From the get go we were well taken care of. We sat outside and enjoyed the cool breeze and it wasn't too loud from the traffic on the street either. We both couldn't pass up the chicken & waffles and so glad we didn't. It was yummy but could've been better. The chicken was a little burnt and didn't have that great of flavor/seasoning and the waffle was thinner than expected but overall it was good! The fresh lemonade was delicious & my friend tried the lavender chai and enjoyed that too! We would definitely go back and try the avocado toast!

Came here 5 years ago and it was as dreamy as it was then, today!

BEST AVOCADO TOAST I've ever had.Nice and quick service. Salad on the side is BOMB and the avocado toast tasted like heaven. A must try if you go!They have a cute terrace to eat or you can go inside, when good weather is definitely recommended to eat outside! it's not busy at all and it feels great. ?

We went here after doing a retro boat rental and it was in walking distance. We went on a Sunday so I wasn’t sure if we’d find seating as a walk in, we have 2 toddlers so I never know what to expect when we go to a restaurant with kids. Honestly, it was such a good experience. We went around 1:15pm and they kindly sat us a corner booth/table and service was quick! They were all friendly and helpful. We ordered a burger, avocado toast and biscuits, everything was so yummy. I’d def go back. Prices and quality felt just right too. It’s pretty chill but so cute! We had so much fun.

My wife and I had a late breakfast here while in Austin on a short weekend getaway. It is a quaint little restaurant. It has a large patio area for more seating on nice days. The service was good and very attentive and accommodating to changes to an order. My wife got the American breakfast which is your basic breakfast items. If a breakfast/brunch establishment doesn't do the basics well then it is not decent in my opinion. They did a great job with the eggs and bacon. I got the biscuits and sausage gravy with added scrambled eggs on top. The biscuits were well made and fluffy. The sausage gravy had wonderful flavor and texture. It was a good meal.I would return here for breakfast or brunch in the future.

The service was excellent, but the avocado mush on the avo toast tasted and looked old like it had been sitting out for over a day. The bacon was just okay. I had higher expectations for a $28 brunch. My cortado was good.

Edited- They have a very wide variety of gluten free options. I had the avocado toast and an oat milk latte, the GF bread was very soggy. The server suggested the Gf waffles I guess I should have tried that.I came back next day. The waffles are great! Highly recommend.

My girlfriend and I used to come here all the time and typically had excellent experiences. I'm not sure what's transpired in the past year but, the service and food were terrible. Our server was very short with us and rushed us to place an order within three minutes of being seated. My girlfriend got the brunch burger and it was covered in grease— the eggs, the patties, the buns. The tater tots were cold as if they'd been sitting out.I got the Soco Sando which was also greasy. My home fries were cold and lacked any flavor. The coffee was mid, the tables were sticky... I could go on but I won't. Save yourself time & money by not coming here.

Pork Pastor was hands down the best breakfast plate I’ve had. Incredible and quick service. Food came out in sub 15 minutes from order. Amazing, must try breakfast spot.

Lavender chai was good and hot. No meat benedict was fresh and tasty. I customized it with spinach and avocado. The muffin base was a little hard to cut. Overall good breakfast.
