The place is relatively small but very clean and carefully adorned with Japanese decor. Also LGBTQ+ friendly (including trans folks).

We were here last year and tried many things... it's very tasty, but the prices are definitely high! The Texas Wagyu costs twice as much, and the portion is definitely smaller. But We really liked it here! Of course when we want to enjoy a small portion meal.

We were a group of two and came here on a Saturday night around 8 PM. We got seated right away without any reservations. The restaurant was about half full. We ordered King Salmon yakitori, tempura EBI combo, Ikaichiya-boshi (grilled squid) half size, Grilled Saba (Norwegian Mackerel) and Sushi Kimidori (yellowtail). King Salmon yakitori was the only one we enjoyed tonight. The fish quality was excellent. The breading/batter of tempura was kind of dry and the tempura was lack of flavor. The dipping sauce of Tempura was also kind of bland. The Grilled Saba is a little bit of over cooked which made the fish kind of dry. But the fish quality was excellent. The grilled squid was mediocre. The most disappointing fish we had was Sushi Kimidori, which was supposed to be special sushi. However they cut yellow tail into tiny pieces and made the sushi rolling the tiny fish along with cucumber and rice. The technique used for making the roll needs to be improved as the rice was not properly wrapped with other ingredients. The presentation of the sushi was poorly executed. Overall, we were disappointed , unfortunately.

The sushi is crafted with incredible precision and the freshness of every single piece really speaks for itself. We sat at the bar and watching the chefs work was an experience in itself, as their skill and attention to detail is truly remarkable. The sake selection is also impressive and pairs beautifully with the food. Whether you are a longtime sushi lover or just discovering Japanese cuisine, Fukumoto is a place that will leave a lasting impression on you.

Me and my love adore asian food, japanese being something I look forward to. And as much as I love sushi, I want different dishes from the culture besides that norm. This was very much close to authentic from my boyfriend's stand point. And we appreciated every bit of time and bite from there. Definitely recommend food wise. Aesthetic wise the place is very chill and I adored the art on the walls and overall vibe. Go here alone, go with friends or family. Its not cheap but its worth it all the same! Definitely gonna go back if I'm in the area with my man!
