I have loved Garbo's since they were a food truck that roamed the streets of downtown Austin. My favorite lobster roll in town (don't tell Clark's). Heidi, Sam, and Hannah have done a tremendous job expanding into the far reaches of our metro.

Garbo's is amazing! Every item we tried was stellar and honestly the best food we've tried in austin. Everything was so fresh and absolutely delicious. The staff is so sweet and the owners are lovely! We aren't from austin and they made us feel welcome and we will definitely come back next time we're around Austin.

I found this restaurant on Eater. I was in the mood for a soup and this seemed like the best option. I started off with the lobster bisque. It had an ample amount of lobster meat and a delicious flavor. It was creamy and filling. At first I was disappointed to have the soup paired with crackers rather than bread. However, once I started eating, I was satisfied. The added texture of the crackers with the smooth liquid and tender lobster was perfect.I decided to try the frozen lemonade after I finished the bisque. I could have ended my meal here but I knew I needed more because of my evening activities.I later saw a mini lobster roll on the menu. I ordered it. Luckily, it also came with a good-sized side salad. I selected the Connecticut version of the lobster roll. My server did recommend the Maine option even though I didn’t select it. Everything was delicious. I would like to visit again and try the Maine roll and a dessert. Oh! I also saw a beer on the menu I would like to try too.My server was attentive and thoughtful. The cook/chef was well-skilled. A spot at the bar opened up just as I arrived. This location is small and has limited seating. However, there are options to sit outside. It was raining off-and-on today so sitting outside was not an option.I would recommend this restaurant and would eat here again. It is on the more expensive side but you do get good quality lobster. I hope you enjoy your meal here as much as I did.Parking: Limited parking available beside restaurant.

I was really excited to try this place. It has a lovely vibe and cool outdoor space. The owner seemed very kind but stressed. Perhaps she was understaffed and that was what was going on. PSU was that the lobster was overcooked. Rubbery & chewy. The classic lobster cooking mistake. Also flavorless needed seasoning, salt pepper, garlic, chives, whatever. When you are spending after tax and tip, almost $40 on this, it needs to be done right. When it’s your specialty, it needs to be done right. I wish I had tried something else….. spent a ton of my life in New England and Maine and lobster rolls. Perhaps this was just a bad day. Lastly, the seats inside are the most uncomfortable barstools…. really want to support a local biz, but there are some kinks that should be worked out.

I love the Garbo sisters. Maybe if I was a Lobster they would love me too. On Monday they have the mini roll flight which is great because you can sample 3 different styles. You can also get two orders of the flight and eat 6 rolls because it’s so good and no one is there to judge how you live your life. Garbos also has the absolute best smoked fish dip. Order a dells lemonade if you want to relive the drive down 114 to Colt State Park. I didn’t ask but since the Garbos are so cool I assume they know where Aquidneck is IYKYK

We loved this restaurant - it brought a bit of the NE to Austin. We met Samantha, one of the Garbo sisters, and the manger. They were phenomenal.Things are a bit pricey, but it is seafood so also to be expected. The lobster mozzarella sticks were amazing! We could have a few of those - the crab cakes were good too. The lobstah rolls were good - both the Maine and CT were good.

Garbo's Lobster Rolls is a hidden gem for anyone craving a taste of seaside perfection right in the heart of town! Now, let's talk about the real star--the lobster rolls. We went for the trio of mini rolls, and each one was a bite-sized burst of freshness and flavor! Perfectly packed with delicious lobster that made my taste buds do a happy dance. But hold up, let's give a round of applause to the blonde-haired waitress--she was an absolute sweetheart! Super kind, attentive, and just radiated good vibes. Her service made the whole experience even more delightful. Now, picture this--a cozy bar-style seating inside and some outdoor tables too. Plus, there's a small parking lot, so scoring a spot for lunch is totally doable.Whether you're sitting at the bar or enjoying the fresh air outside, Garbo's sets the scene for a scrumptious seafood feast. The lobster rolls are a must-try, and with such a lovely atmosphere and the kindest service, it's definitely a spot worth frequenting. So, if you're on the hunt for the perfect lobster rolls and a place where kindness is on the menu, Garbo's is your spot--come for lunch and leave with a smile!
