Finally made it here and sad that it took me so long bec it was some great home cookin’. Everything was just right, not over seasoned or overly fancy… just some great food. The chicken fried chicken, catfish platter and sides (green beans, mac n cheese, jambalaya and fried okra) were delicious. We arrived 30 mins before closing so we just sat inside. Place was clean and had a nice, cozy ambiance. Glad this place is still around and was saved some years ago from shutting down....

We ran in close to closing. Everyone was so accommodating. They're was live music in the back. The food was exceptional. The brisket was moist and perfectly cooked, the pork ribs tender, and the blueberry pie and peach cobbler- delicious!! Great gem of a place!

Green mesquite Barton springs is not only a great barbecue spot, but they also have live music regularly.

When you walk in here it's not incredibly fancy, it feels like old Austin, in a good way. You'll have good food. It won't break the bank and you might get to see some good music.
