We were in Austin for the weekend and stopped by after visiting a Christmas bar, looking for some good food. It was my fiancé’s first time here, though I’ve visited before, and this visit definitely didn’t disappoint. Food was absolutely fantastic. Chicken had a bit of a zip to it which made it delicious. Potato salad was spot on great, Mac and cheese was cooked to perfection and the fried okra was finger licking good. Only bad part was the horrific parking. The city of Austin wanted to charge $23 to park for 2 hours in an open dirt lot.
Being from the south, I have very high expectations for fried chicken. This place did not disappoint! Both the food and the service were outstanding. It’s not a fancy restaurant but if you want really good food, this is a good place to go.
