Family friends and our family have eaten at Gusto two times in the last month and a half. Everything was terrific. First visit we had the fritto misto (3 orders) and everyone got a different entree. From the meatballs to lasagna to branzino to pizza. And everyone was happy! Followed by a little dessert (tiramisu and panna cotta) and espresso martinis, one with Baileys added. Second visit almost more of the same. Delicious! And it is so lovely that they take reservations.
The wait staff was super attentive both times. Shout out to Conner, though I forgot our main waiter's name on the second visit.
One of our favorite places!
Completely underrated hidden gem!
Absolutely phenomenal service. Excellent bolognese. Great atmosphere. Lovely counter + WiFi for a working lunch.
Excellent dining experience all the way around. Friendly staff, nice dining room, and great Italian food and wine list. The meatballs, pasta, and pizza were all very tasty and prepared with high quality ingredients. The hot buttered bread that was brought out to sop up the broth from our mussels appetizer was AMAZING, so soft and delicious. Thanks for a great dinner after a long day!
My favorite restaurant. Good food, great service, they usually try to make you feel special. A great place to relax with a glass of wine and their fried calamari is the best!
Food was great but portion was so small. $25 for four fork fulls of pasta. I’m headed elsewhere for “dinner”.
Look at portion compared to fork…
Noodles and tomatoes are still cheap guys
There isn't anything bad to say about this place. Excellent good. Great service. We had a large table that was complicated with separate checks. They easily managed all our crazy and made our evening very nice. I've been there at sat at the bar vs a table, equally as nice. Highly recommend the broccolini!
The place is nice and service was impeccable. Food was average. It is very pretentious that they charge 30$ per person if you cancel a reservation at any time. I have seen that only in Michelin level restaurants.
My local theatre group of 8 attended a matinee play yesterday. It was my turn to make drinks/food arrangements for afterwards. From making the reservation to walking out the door it was a most outstanding experience. Fantastic service! Wonderful food and drink! Everyone in the group voicing high praise about the experience. We have been to many ATX quality establishments before or after the theatre - this one is now at the top of our list.
Absolute favorite restaurant when visiting

Well made and delicious! We tried 2 different dishes and the pasta for each had such a great texture. We will be back to try their pizzas next.

The food had highs and lows. The focaccia bread was a really great starter, served with some olive oil and balsamic vinegar. This got my hopes up for the rest of the evening due to the belief that if a restaurant has quality bread, they in turn usually will have great entrees and other selections, however that was not the case. The Bolognese I had was lacking flavor and to be honest tasted like it could have come out of a can... this is me simply being honest. Additionally, the meat was also very similar to a sloppy joe which was off putting. My friend ordered the Alla Crema and this is where we hit the low point of the night. The only good parts of her meal were the pistachio that were sprinkled on top and the sausage in the sauce. The sauce itself tasted funky and somewhat potent. The actual pasta for both dishes were not cooked correctly which also sucked. Finally, we got to the dessert and this was honestly the highest point of the night. We ordered the Affogato and it was really delicious! Overall, the food experience was definitely tainted by the entrees composition.
The service was average. She didn't really talk to us which could have been due to her overwhelming amount of tables, but it felt like we were a touch and go sort of table where she said a few words and then would leave. Not terrible, just could have been more personable.
The atmosphere was overall pretty good. The decor inside was really nice and added a lot of dimension to the restaurant. The only downside was the fact that it is super echoey in there, and so when it gets busy I'm sure it can be overwhelming.

Gusto is my go-to neighborhood place. I have a group and a few individuals with whom I meet there regularly. The food is great. The service is friendly and efficient. The vibe is warm and inviting. When I think of comfort, it's Gusto every time.
