Happy Foods + SWOOP Wine Garden

the tasting menu at the new house was lackluster in flavors and constitution. we were surprised by the drop in quality from their original offerings.

Our first time there, what an absolutely lovely experience! The tasting menu was wonderful and everything was delicious. Coming back regularly!

This beautiful old eastside bungalow, situated on a surprisingly secluded and lovely tree-lined lot, has been beautifully restored and renovated to house this gem of a culinary delight. Our prefix menu was innovative, well-presented and delicious, and the service was impeccable. I highly recommend this surprisingly enjoyable restaurant.

This was definitely an experience. The service is wonderful and the proportions are perfect so you're not stuffed by the 5th course. A great date night. We liked 4/5 courses and 3 of them really knocked it outta the park. We will be back when the menu changes.

It was the perfect place to celebrate my Mom's birthday! She loved the decor, food, drinks, service, etc. Thank you all for making it special!

Fantastic experience. From the minute we stepped through the door the service was excellent. Beautiful grounds and the dining room in the small house was great. Enjoyed it very much and will definitely come back.

Great pre-fix menu, including vegetarian option for my wife. Food was great. The service was awesome led by Will. The home is awesome and comfortable. Tunes were great too! After dinner we meandered in the garden with our wine. It was a great night. Will return soon!

The deposit system is horrible and upset our whole table. Food menu was disappointing in taste compared to the summer one. No more welcome cocktails is a shame too.

A solid option though felt a little overpriced for what the prix fixe menu included. Miss the old Poeta a la carte menu but this location has great ambiance.

This has been on my list and was excited to finally check that box. Appreciated the smaller portion sizes-I was able to try each course and not feel overly full. Nice selection of drinks and the service was amazing.

Overall nothing major to complain about but seems like they're still figuring things out and staff wasn't the best trained. Ordered a cocktail before the tasting began and didn't receive a straw for 5+ minutes, which was needed since it had a foam on top. Server didn't tell us about the wine pairing option but luckily we'd heard a table next to us talking about it so knew we wanted it. The wines weren't sufficiently explained in regards to why they were paired with each dish. Each course was well timed and the first two dishes were great but the pasta course wasn't the most visually appealing and pasta should have been rolled thinner. Lamb course was interesting and felt more like a nod to BBQ. The menu said it was prepared with cucumbers but they were definitely pickled. Value was okay for the price but the menu should have more detail around each course or the staff should be trained to present in more detail. Would have gotten a better rating if this weren't a tasting experience but if you're going to say it's a tasting and auto add 20% gratuity on a table for 2, the experience should be elevated. Grounds were beautiful but drove by it the first time since it's tucked back. I would try them again in a few months to see if they've worked out these kinks.

We enjoyed our dinner at Poeta. The setting is very calm, service friendly and well paced. Will be back!

Went in with very high expectations, and Poeta delivered on everything except the food. The courses, while interesting, gradually became less impressive. The pallet opener, and first 2 courses (veggies and tuna tartar) were so yummy. The lamb and the ravioli were eh. The dessert was a tiramisu, and was delicious but not exciting. Overall great experience!

What a beautiful place with outstanding food. Best lamb I've ever eaten. They should be very proud of what they've done and I can't wait to see what they do!

Amazing food on the tasting menu in July 25. The new space is so cozy and the vibe is immaculate. Loved strolling through the garden before and after the meal with a drink. The lamb was my favorite and my wife loved the heirloom tomato salad with chevre. The wine pairings were also so tasty and made me wish for a full glass a couple times.
