I had an amazing experience. Nathan was absolutely amazing. I was watching him training an employee also while tending to my needs, he did an amazing job making me feel comfortable and helping me figure out what I want as a first time customer

Wow, this place is absolutely amazing! It was our first time stopping by, and the whole experience was top-tier from the moment we walked in.

A massive shoutout to **Nat**, who took incredible care of us. Since we were newbies, he took the time to personally walk us through the menu and point out the heavy hitters. That kind of next-level hospitality instantly won us over.

For my plate, I went with the chicken tenders, greens, and mac & cheese. Let me tell you I loved every single bite. The flavors were completely dialed in, and you can tell they put real love into their cooking. On top of that, the entire team was super accommodating and made us feel right at home.

*Wait, I almost forgot the MVP of the meal:* **The Waffles.** Do not sleep on these! They were tasty, delightful, and honestly worth making a trip back just for them alone.

Thank you to Nat and the whole crew for a stellar experience. I’m already planning my return for Round 2. Highly recommend!

Great food and service, only issues I had was that there are no mosquito/fly repellent fans/lights on the outside patio.

Great food, definitely worth it if you like flavor in your food! Nathan provided great service, even put the game on so we could watch it. Coming back as soon as I’m craving chicken again.

Everything was great I’d just say the chicken is very heavy or else I’d have given it a 5/5.

Not for everyone but it was a great experience.

First time trying out Hattie B’s in Austin! Loved it in Nashville. Food was 🔥 and I had excellent customer service from the guys up front at the register and bringing my food. One of the guys hooked me up with 2 fresh straight off the factory line hats. So whoever was working on 5/29/26 Friday night deserves a raise. Will come back on my next visit to Austin.

Hattie Bs has it down. Their consistency from the OG in Nashville to their out of TN stores is really close.

This is location is always clean and well run.

Ordered online nobody was here and they said it was busy when I arrived and yet had to wait 15 minutes for my order. Lady was rude and not helpful at the south location.

Awful experience ordering food from Hattie B’s. I had the food delivered and it arrived pretty hot. However, it was clear from the first bite that the food was not fresh. I ordered two chicken plates and fries and all 3 tasted like cardboard. I nibbled at some of the food but had to throw most away because it tasted that stale. Awfully sad that a place known for chicken can’t even cook their main product fresh for each order. I am not sure how they received a 4.4 star rating. Maybe people like stale chicken that has been sitting out for hours…

I went to the Lamar location and was impressed by the building, staff, and food! I arrived around 12:30 and the restaurant was busy but not packed; there is only a tiny parking lot in front but there is more parking behind the building with designated spaces which is great because Lamar can be a pain to park on!

I like the vibe inside, it is very bright and clean and homey. The cashier was very warm and welcoming and was happy to give me recommendations for what side to pick (he gave me his top 4 lol and I went with #1).

The food!

First off the star- the chicken sandwich. Normally I am all about a fried chicken sandwich but I had one the night before so I opted for the grilled. While they use a breast not thigh as most of my favorite spots do, it was still juicy and tender. I think I'd still prefer a thigh, but I can't complain that this one was dry or tough. I got the medium spice which I'm glad I chose as it was just the right spice for me- a decent kick in my mouth but didn't linger. In my mouth- word of warning it was messy and I got sauce down my chin and that burned for a good 30 minutes! Not extreme pain or anything just- oh, yes, that is still tingly. I wonder if a fried sandwich would hold the sauce a bit better? It was tasty but extremely messy- I gave up and ate the 2nd half with a knife and fork to avoid more mouth/chin discomfort XD I will say I like the decent number of pickles! I want every bite to have some pickle in it.

There was a little tub of slaw which I loved as I do like some on my sandwich- I'm glad I didn't pick this for my side as I found it sweeter than I like, but it was solid with the sandwich. I also got the cheddar bacon grits- these were fantastic! I'm not always a grits person, but when they are hot, cheesy, and super creamy, I'm down! It was almost like a mac n cheese sauce with some grits in it lol; might be too rich for some but I couldn't get enough.

All in all I was impressed; I don't know if it is my favorite chicken sandwich in town, I think I have to try the fried version before I make final decisions, but it was solid and the staff were lovely!
