Best Indian/ Nepalese in the whole state of Texas...yeah I said it. I've been to India, lived in London, and San Francisco (all hot spots for Indian food). For around 16 bucks at the lunch buffet you are going to get a wide selection of expertly seasoned, marinated, stir fried, and stewed Nepalese dishes. Tandoori chicken, Manchurian noodles, chicken tikka, veggie korma curry, stewed goat, biryani rice, fresh buttery thin nan just to name a few stunners. This is by far the most value for the money. Hands down. Make the short drive north, you will get a real authentic honest taste of India/Nepal.

The food flavor and quality has been consistently excellent for the last 3 years we've been visiting the place. Our go tos have been street style chow mein, kosheli naan and my recent obsession lamb pasanda 😍

Your taste buds will remind to to keep coming back to this ATX gem. We have been here many times and have never been disappointed.

Lunch buffet offers broad tasting opportunities.

Very kind staff & clean.

It is spacious, but basic for the decor. This adds to the charm.

Don't really wish to share this find, but I want them to be around for a long time!

This was my first visit, and I will certainly be back. We had the lunch buffett, which had a delicious assortment, including a good amount of meat free options. The pakora was nice and crispy, not soggy like it is at some places. Although it is clean, don't expect much in the atmosphere department. It's a basic restaurant with tasty Indian food at a reasonable price.

Original Review:
This was the first time me and my wife ate here. We've been looking for a really good Nepalese/Indian restaurant ever since we moved to Austin. So far we've been pretty disappointed. We came during lunch time around 12 on a sunday to try out the buffet. It wasn't crowded and we were immediately seated. We sampled multiple dishes, tried their Chai (which to me is a deciding factor in authenticity) and an hour later were stuffed and completely satisfied. Needless to say, the food was delicious, flavorful and filling. One aspect of the food we really enjoyed was the heat that was added to the dishes. Alot of Indian places seem to douse their food in excess amounts of heat and spice. The food at this place had heat but it wasn't over powering and helped to bring out the flavor rather then drown it. Our overall rating? A+

My husband and I found this spot around 2 years ago and it is hands down our favorite Indian/ Nepalese restaurant we have been to. We have been back to this restaurant more times than any other in Austin- it’s the best comfort food we could ask for. The flavors are incredible in everything we have tried. The Masala Chai, chicken tikka masala, chicken momos, garlic naan, gulab jamun, and kheer are among our favorites. It’s always great to see Sandeep and Karina when we walk in- they are so kind and always make us feel at home! The music choice in the restaurant always creates a good ambiance as well. If you have never tried Kosheli, you are missing out.
