Really good food. Very West Texas which is a little different than regular Tex Mex. Loved the whole thing. Great rice and beans. The shredded beef tacos had a great flavor and so did the enchiladas. Good salsa too! Nick kick in the green one.And the service top of the line. Super friendly. Great history of food in the family. Absolutely going to make this a frequent stop.
We tried this place last night. The food was not very good. Their queso was the canned nacho cheese they serve at movie theaters I think. It was really bad considering we are in Austin, one of the Tex Mex capitols. The entrees were ok but nothing special. We are going to give breakfast a try I think. It is really hard to get over the queso situation. Seems lazy. Wife said they were really nice when she went to pick it up.
I really wanted to love this place. This staff is so friendly and welcoming. The food is okay and the portion sizes are maybe 1/3 of what you would get in a typical Mexican restaurant. The food could also use some more seasoning.
