First off the waiter looked and acted as if he’d rather be anywhere else than waiting on us.
I ordered a jelly fish beer, during happy hour. I had to ask him the sizes, if it was bottle or draft and he didn’t bother to tell me that hey the 16oz is only $4 vs the 20oz. I didn’t tip him, his service wasn’t good and with so little people in there it should have been something easy to do.
The food wasn't nasty it was just grossly under seasoned. There was absolutely on flavor at all in the garlic butter Cajun (spicy) butter. It was like literal water and hot sauce with some garlic bits. It’s unfortunate because we wanted to support small businesses but unfortunately we will not be returning.

Waist my time.
Terrible. Wasn’t busy at all, nobody ever came up to ask us what to drink after 15 minutes so we left and then there were like 4 hostesses just talking about nothing at the front desk. they need to be fired…
I’m a big seafood lover, and Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood & Bar is one of my favorite spots. The food is always delicious, and the customer service is amazing they truly go above and beyond. The manager even comes out to check on guests and make sure everything is perfect, which I really appreciate. If you’re looking for great seafood and a welcoming experience, I highly recommend them!

I feel like I had a spiritual experience here.
The special blend sauce is amazing and the food was phenomenal. I got a cluster of dungeness crab and 1/2 lb of live crawfish. The crab was sweet and in tact. The mudbugs were a mixture of flavorful little guys and huge crawdads the length of my hand. Plus corn, two potatoes, and I got a side of rice. All for $31!!
I came by myself during happy hour so I ordered the $4 drinks. Mexican candy shots, margaritas, and all were delicious. I put in my headphones and watched a show while eating, and several others near me were enjoying the atmosphere alone too.
Dim lighting and a fantastic playlist. Very comfortable booth seats too.
Service rocked. My server was Leilani and I will absolutely request her next time I visit. I 100% recommend this place, especially if you’re a solo diner hoping to treat yourself to a great lunch and drinks.
I would’ve taken more photos but I didn’t want to put my food down!

I tried the seafood boil with crawfish and overall had a good experience. The flavor was solid and the seasoning worked well with the seafood, especially with the sauce I chose. Portions were satisfying and it’s a fun, casual spot if you’re in the mood for a seafood boil you eat with your hands.
I’d definitely go again and try the different sauces next time.

This is honestly frustrating.
I ordered my usual catfish po’ boy from Hook & Reel, spent $20 on it for delivery, and was genuinely excited to eat. This is one of those meals I look forward to, because when it’s done right, it’s amazing.
But this time? It’s dry. Like, painfully dry.
The sauce, the ONE thing that makes this sandwich worth ordering, is missing. And without it, I don’t even want to eat it. It completely changed the experience. What should’ve been flavorful and satisfying is now just… disappointing and hard to get through.
It’s not even about being picky. It’s about paying for something you know can be great, and getting something that feels incomplete.
I shouldn’t be sitting here debating whether to eat something I was excited enough to spend $20 on.
Really hoping this was just a one-time miss.

We placed a large order and since the start it was great experience. We spoke with Aimen over the phone and he delivered excellent customer service, since it was a large order we had to wait to pay in person. I was greeted and wait was not long at all. I was helped out to my car and everyone even the manager was welcoming and helpful. Definitely recommend this staff and their coordination.

Decided to try this place cuz my go to place was closed. Learned my lesson and should’ve kept my money. $70 on frozen seafood is crazy. How do you not have live crawfish during crawfish season? Worst boil I’ve ever had.
