When you walk in, there are a ton of pictures hung up describing the restaurant in magazines as the best fried chicken in austin and so on. Unfortunately we didn’t not get to taste the amazing food described. We ordered fried catfish with French fries and green beans, a quarter bbq dark meat chicken with a sausage link, green beans and Mac and cheese, a sweet tea and lemonade. The drinks were decent, the bbq chicken was good and so was the green beans. Everything else was not...
The chicken fried steak is great - but so was the fried chicken I had! We had all the fixings - Mac n cheese, coleslaw, potato salad and even fried okra! Everything was tasty and you can tell they take a lot of pride in their Southern cooking! Sweet tea was nice as well - we’re looking forward to our next visit there!
Tried the chicken fried pork chop. It was really tasty. Jalapeno creamed spinach and the okra and tomatoes. They were good. Nice variety of sides to choose from. We skipped dessert. Will be back.
