Very fine dining in a more eclectic and relaxed atmosphere. Attentive service and every dish was delicious! Thank you for a wonderful meal. There was a group of five and we were seated at a back table that made it easy to enjoy conversation.

I wanted to love this place from the moment I walked in, but it disappointed me. (3.5) stars would be more accurate.
The GOOD: accepts reservations, and the hostess was lovely. Female server was super friendly, and the environment is deeply relaxing without feeling stuffy. The liver mousse was delicious and the tomato chutney on the side was yummy, if overly sweet. But, I wish the toasted French bread had not been saturated in oil. Unnecessary and unhealthy. I liked the mussels but fair warning, the sauce is full of chili so it’s not the garlicky white wine sauce our table was expecting. I was the only thumbs up out of 3.
The TROUBLING: not enough green choices. The male server helping was quite pompous-actually we found him unpleasant and snooty.
The BAD: the frites were great but way too salty, the coulotte cut of beef in our steak frites was a bit undercooked unfortunately for me, since I insisted on medium rare (they prefer medium) and there were several gristly bites. The mussels were served with fries but we asked for bread as well. Sadly, it was the same overly saturated toasted French bread. I suspect they aren’t using fresh French bread so the oil is a magic trick. I don’t like it at all. Plain toasted French bread please!
I’ll go back for the duck and to become reacquainted with the Salade niçoise which I remember being tasty. Maybe I’ll find something cravable and upgrade the stars.

Hopfields was incredible. We had reservations and a table ready, but ended up moving to the bar so we could watch the game. The servers were busy, yet they still took time to chat and make us feel welcome. The food and drinks were delicious, and the atmosphere was such a fun surprise — it honestly felt like we were somewhere in Europe. Great vibe, great service. I’ll be back for sure.

We always have great service . We sat outside because we brought our dogs! Riley was great. I look forward to some cooler days to sit out side!♥️🌟
People are always surprised when I suggest dinner at Hopfield's before an event on the UT campus—but then they join me there and they understand. Amazing food, lovely ambiance, pleasant service—this restaurant is the real deal
Awesome vibes and service, really lovely cozy space. Unfortunately the food fell short.

Excellent server experience. Kitchen delivered wrong soup order. Onion soup, mussels, tartare and burgers were excellent. The new tuna appetizer was disappointing and smelled a bit fishy. That won't keep us from returning though.
Wonderful food with a friendly staff and a stellar menu. A hidden gem. We would go back there in a second next time we are in Austin.
Amazing!! Had the best experience. We ordered the steak tartare, french onion soup, mussels, and duck. The food and service was exceptional.10/10 recommend.

We were looking for somewhere to eat late at night in Austin and we ran into this little gem. We were tired and at first glance the menu was different and we had teenagers with us, so we debated leaving to get some burgers at a drive thru. I am sure glad we didn’t! The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The Mexican Martini was a clear winner at the table, but my husband’s mocktail was equally delicious. They have a wide selection of beers which is what I had and it was nice and cold. My husband had the Chicken on the dinner menu. It was juicy, tender, and flavorful, he loved it, my brother had the burger which was cooked to perfection, his words not mine. Didn’t try that one but he devoured it so that says it all. My sister in law had the French Onion Soup which she loved, I did try that one which I have never had that soup. I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. It had a creamy gravy like broth that was very warming to the heart. But for me my dish took the grand prize, I had the mussels and fries. They were amazing, the broth had a perfect blend of spices that literally blew my mind. The fries were perfection and they were topped of with a truffle sauce which was to die for. It was a huge portion, but I could not stop eating it. They were easily the best mussels and fries I have ever had. The kids had basic stuff like steak and fries and a plain burger which they both enjoyed. This definitely will be a spot I will visit every time I come to Austin, everything was amazing the drinks, the food, the service. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for amazing drinks and food. They obviously know what they are doing and everything came or so quickly. My brother lives near by and both him and my sister in law were happy to find this place as well. Thank you for an amazing experience!

Came here just for the French Onion Soup and my gosh it was worth it. It was a tad pricey but it was a massive bowl and they didn't skimp out on the cheese, bread, or onion. The only slight downside was the lack of broth, could just drink it straight. We also got the creme brulee and dang it was so satisfying, the fresh vanilla bean was just the cherry on top. Don't miss out!

Amazing duck! I am always hesitant to get duck out as some overcook it. It was perfectly cooked! Amazing Belgium beer selection too!
