I’ve been gradually trying out Austin coffee shops throughout this year and Houndstooth is my new favorite! Not because of the coffee or location or prices (all of which are great), but because their barista this morning was the single friendliest, most inviting barista I’ve ever met in a coffee shop. I just moved and have been trying a new coffee shop each time I “need coffee”. All have been just okay/ do not stand out. This latte is probably the best latte I’ve ever had. Besides the great coffee — the service was fast, inside clean, and had lots of parking! Cannot complain!
This is one of my favorite coffee shops in town, especially because it stays open until 7 p.m. on Sundays—something that’s surprisingly hard to find! It’s a great spot to sit and relax with a warm cup of coffee. I absolutely love their mocha—it’s rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced. The staff is always friendly, and the space itself is cozy and inviting.
