Industry - Eastside Reviews
Basic. Boring. Lackluster. Zero nonalcoholic options when I visited. Your standard reheated syscos/ Ben E Keith’s.
It was a lot of fun! The food was good. There were three of us, we all got something different and everything was fantastic. Real good flavor. For me, it was a little loud but my daughter who is 22, loved it. She said this is my kind of joint. Next time for me, it's outside. The food was that good.
I rarely leave negative reviews but this was the worst experience I’ve had in a long time. I ordered via Uber on 8/10 approximately 7/30. My order consisted of the CFC, Burger and cheesecake with berry compote. First, my order was missing a burger and the blueberry compote. Ok. File a help ticket with Uber for the missing items. Industry - Eastside offers good food and a laid-back atmosphere. The staff, including Cassandra, are praised for their excellent service and go out of their way to help. The blackened fish was a highlight, even when not on the lunch menu. Some customers found the food not to their liking, with the nachos and half chicken described as dry and bland, while others enjoyed their brunch, especially the black beans and pecan pie. The service can be a bit confusing, with some customers unsure about ordering, and the open seating with QR code ordering might surprise those expecting traditional service. Having people hover by booths can be an issue, but overall, the experience remains enjoyable. The atmosphere features a musician playing, creating a relaxing vibe, and the space is comfortable with wood benches and easy parking. While some reviews mention that the indoor temperature can be hot because doors stay open, the staff's friendliness and the delicious food, including the blackened fish, make it a good spot to visit. The restaurant also offers great deals, like a 3-course lunch during Austin Restaurant Week, and the A/C works well during hot summers. Despite some mixed reviews about food and billing practices, many find Industry - Eastside to be a cozy place for drinks, brunch, or catching a game.
