We really like the ice cream, and we’d likely come spend our money here multiple times a week since we live within walking distance and we’re big ice cream people.

Unfortunately the portions are really small given the cost. Just not worth it.

Will they ask for tips after putting two scoops in a bowl shaped wafflecone? yes.
Will you see more yuppies and drunk Californians? Yes.
However you will also receive delicious ice cream ? which might hurt your wallet depending on your economic situation.
Was it still worth it? Yes.
However please steer clear of their toilet, the toilets on the premises is just a cup some homeless guy is holding in the alley behind the store, I advise the owners...
