Josephine House Reviews
Beautiful ambience and fresh delicious food!
The music was way to loud to carry on a conversation with someone at your own table. We asked twice to have it turned down and they didn’t. Get there when they open or you can’t find parking.
Ok, the place is nice, but that doesn’t give the right to the stuff to make the clients feel unwanted there. Since we arrived we were treated like we didn’t belong there, they left us waiting for long periods of time without checking on us and had to get up several times to remind about our order because they were has forgotten something.
I don’t know if it was because we are minorities or because we weren’t wearing suites but we felt really unwelcome.
Will not go...read full review

Josephine House is a charming little blue cottage turned restaurant, offering delicious food with accommodating staff, perfect for those with dietary restrictions. The interior is cozy and intimate, almost like dining in a friend’s home, with about eight tables inside and some outdoor seating. Visitors enjoy flavorful dishes like the lemon ricotta pancakes, crab cakes, and eggs with deep orange yolks. Happy hour (Tuesday–Friday, 3–5 PM) features half-off snacks and $10 house cocktails, including the refreshing Hugo spritz. Standout dishes include the silky chicken liver mousse, cheese and charcuterie board, and roasted beets with strawberries and feta.
Despite some issues with flies and noise levels indoors, the atmosphere is lovely, service is good, and the portion sizes are ample. Many customers have praised the burgers, noting that the kitchen pays attention to preferences. The shrimp and grits is often highlighted as a favorite, while the fries are described as terrific. However, the restaurant could use more fans outside as it can get warm, even in October. Parking can also be challenging, so ridesharing is recommended. For takeout, some customers have found the packaging to be an issue, as multiple items are put in one box, leading to mixed-up meals. Overall, it’s a cozy spot perfect for brunch, a relaxed afternoon treat, or a low-key date.
