We had an exceptional experience at Juniper. Our server, Abby, was phenomenal—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm throughout the entire evening. Her service elevated the experience from start to finish.
We opted for the six-course tasting menu, and every dish impressed. The food showcased high-quality ingredients, thoughtful execution, and bold, well-balanced flavors—nothing felt lacking or overworked. Each course felt intentional and refined.
I was honestly surprised not to see Juniper listed in the Michelin Guide. Compared to several Michelin-listed restaurants I’ve visited, Juniper delivers stronger dishes and more polished service. I believe Juniper would be a strong candidate for a Bib Gourmand, and with some refinement and stronger standout desserts, even a potential star.
Overall, this was a fantastic dining experience. Highly recommend, and I’m already looking forward to returning.

Zero compassion. We accidentally made a rez at the restaurants other location (totally on us) …we explained we have a 3 month old baby at home and this is our first time out in months (it was my husbands birthday) is there anything you can do…even just let us have a drink at the bar and the women at the door wouldn’t even check with management if it was ok. I understand if it wasn’t doable but to not even try or show any compassion really sucked. I can’t say anything about the food but hospitality was a big zero.

I love the smaller size and ambiance. Although the restaurant was full, we could easily talk and hear each other at the table. Important to me. Service patient and attentive! Each dish was delicious! A very nice treat since the evening was expensive, I thought. I'd go back on another special occasion.
We went there to celebrate Birthday 🎂. They send the complimentary drink to start. Black truffle Pepe pasta is so tasty along with salmon. I also enjoy the crudo. Dessert are tasty especially the milk and honey BD cake. We enjoy our experience and definitely will be back
This is our second time at this restaurant and we went for our 10 year anniversary. So they decided to put us at their chef's table, which was such an amazing experience. We got to watch the chefs, and it wasn't chaotic like you would expect. We got the best waiter, best service, best food. And the best wine!!
Amazing anniversary tasting menu at the chef's counter. They were fun, inspiring and took time to engage with us. The food was top notch. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Austin. Thanks, chefs! Front of house was equally amazing. You guys rock!
Beautiful space and excellent service, but the food was sadly disappointing. Several dishes arrived lukewarm and a couple had to be reheated, and none of our group really loved our meals. It was a special celebration, so we were hoping for more. Hoping this was just an off night, as the ambience and staff were wonderful.
Let me start by saying that they had the best Rigatoni that I ever had. Creamy perfectly cooked with fresh burrata. My friend ordered the salmon which she loved. The steak was cooked to order and was season on point however if you’re going with an expectation of a Wagyu steak, then this is not the place for you. And this is where I think they could have done better in their service. The server was very reserved and seemed slightly unhappy serving us. In the beginning, I assumed it could be the weather or something, but as the evening went his reluctance to provide answers and not giving the details needed about the dish impacted our experience. For a restaurant where I’m paying over $100 per person I would expect the server to at least ask about my Food or provide info on it.

This was our second time at Junioer and we loved it both times. The food, ambiance and service was good. Especially the hospitality was at its best. There was a dish that was not to our liking and they took it off and topped it off with complimentary dessert. This kind of hospitality is rare these days. We will definitely return as the experience was great and you want to go to a restaurant that cares to take care of you.
There were large parties in the place taking up much of the limited staff's attention and time. Really unfair to judge service on a night like this. But it was my husband's birthday and although our server did try their best to make the experience special, the lack of attention and slow service was distracting and pretty frustrating at times. Our late drinks were comped, which was very kind.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
First time dining at Juniper East, and it exceeded all expectations. Every dish we ordered was outstanding—thoughtfully prepared and absolutely delicious. The service was equally impressive; Tyler was exceptional, offering spot-on wine and food recommendations that elevated the entire experience. A particularly nice touch was the valet service—when you’re ready to leave, the restaurant alerts the valet so your car is waiting as you walk out. From start to finish, everything was amazing. We’ll definitely be back.
