Great for breakfast

Apparently this is the place that's doesn't have locks on the doors? Or maybe that was the one in N Austin. I heard someone talking about that, but regardless, they're open 24/7.

We arrived for breakfast and I had a decaf along with the California omelette. Best decision I made!

Perfect omelette and the decaf is delicious!!

The staff spilled water on one of our table members, but it didn't dampen the mood; only his back and shorts. We had a different accident from one of our guests dnt ehy were kind, discreet, and absolutely wonderful.

The ambiance and decor are old-style diner from the 50s or 60s.

This place is a must-visit place!!!

Just left another location that I had a bad experience at. Was so happy to come to my usual kerbey. As soon as seated someone already waiting on us. This location is the best.

Just had my birthday pancakes at the counter. They were awesome. Staff were so nice. Made my day.

Also watched a very polite and empathetic manager named John deal with a belligerent and unhinged “guest”. I can honestly say that John is a nice young man. He handled the situation w grace. I’d be back for that alone, but thise pancakes rock!

The Lemon Poppy Paris Platter was so delicious! Exactly what I needed! And my server Hector was great! Very helpful and friendly.

I love Kerbey Lane and was excited to see one at this location since I’m here twice a week visiting my mother. Quick seating in a 50% or less full restaurant at 6:30 on a Tuesday. Should be a breeze, right? I sat for 6-7 minutes without anyone acknowledging my presence. I finally left. (Hint: the hostess didn’t notice either.)

My personal server was great. Food was great. I went with my mother and a friend, me and the friend split two carafes of mimosa, and my mom was drinking a Bloody Mary. When it came to my mother ordering a second Bloody Mary, the much older woman with black pigtails told her she was cut off. She cut her off even after we made it clear only the friend and I were drinking mimosas, and only 2 glasses were used. Refused her second drink. We were having a rough day and just wanted a nice brunch, I’m assuming she was the manager on duty, but she completely killed the vibes and ruined our afternoon. Never coming back after her condescending and rude attitude.

A lesson - don’t trust their waitlist. You’ll delay arriving by 40-50 minutes, and then when you arrive at the top of the waitlist, you wait an additional 30-40 minutes because in reality the waitlist isn’t real. Food is good diner breakfast and I would be happier if they didn’t have a waitlist or reservation system at all because it is a waste of time and the expectation that it would work is a severe let down.
