WE LOVE KINFOLK! My girlfriend and I have come here a handful of times for special occasions. Ben and the rest of the staff are so kind, knowledgeable, and passionate. I brought my parents here for my Dad's 80th birthday and they were both blown away. My Dad is a huge connoisseur of Manhattans, and he said this was the best he has ever had. Overall, Kinfolk is a once in a lifetime experience. It's a must if you enjoy cocktails and learning more about the spirits that make up your favorite drink.

Wow, Kinfolk is amazing and unlike any other speakeasy I’ve been to! First off, order The Prospector! That luscious bourbon cocktail is absolutely delightful and one of the top three drinks I’ve ever had. I was so excited to experience Kinfolk after years of wanting to and everything exceeded my expectations! The bartenders and waiters are wonderfully engaging, friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Before ordering, they detail the history of the property and the origins of the speakeasy. Such a nice touch to share the historic value of the establishment. The library of alcohol is beyond imagination. Over 800 unique selections and all displayed like art pieces around the large community table. The lounge seating in the main room is cozy, comfortable, and decorated so well. Alex was one of the waiters and provides excellent recommendations, even giving me suggestions of where to go next when I asked her (Thank you, Alex! I went to that place you mentioned and it was fabulous!). Kinfolk will be my go-to destination for nights downtown from now on!

This might be the best kept secret spot for impressing your date at a local Speakeasy in Austin that is located right beneath Moonshine Grill (which is already a classic staple of Austin cuisine). Reservation-only speakeasy that curates delicious and unique cocktails for you. The wide variety of spirits they have here are unmatched to any other spot in the downtown area. Seeing that the spirits and the bar are nestled within a limestone cellar from the late 1800's just makes you feel like you truly are in a special spot. The small amount of people the bar and in the community table makes this place a unique experience. I highly recommend getting a table, if you can, but if the community table is a vibe all in itself and you will be able to share conversations with others who are enjoying their curated cocktails. Pay attention to any drinks the bartenders recommend for your consideration and also the unique and gorgeous glassware that your cocktail comes in. I was swooning over the light pink glasses I got with my whiskey cocktails. Heads up with anyone with mobility concerns there is a long stairway that leads you downstairs to the speakeasy. I didn't see a wheelchair elevator near where we entered but that is not to say there is not one. You may need to inquire, when you make your reservations, if you think you might have a hard time walking or coming up stairs.

It's so rare these days that people care about what they do, and take pride in their craft. It's the place where it still happens. They create their masterpiece cocktails with love, and it shows. Our host Alex — she was awesome! Everyone else was also extremely knowledgeable and very attentive. And, of course, the cocktails — I can't describe it, you absolutely have to try it yourself.

Not only was the menu incredibly creative with the history of different families of cocktails, the bartenders were incredibly knowledgeable and made a ton of off menu drinks based on drinks they’ve seen around the country.On top of that, they have a gift box of three whiskeys that bartenders hand select at distilleries, which makes an excellent reminder of the experience!Hands down, a must visit if you’re in Austin!

I've been to a few mixology bars and this one felt unique and welcoming. 10/10 recommended, make reservations ahead of time and enjoy the experience!
