I don't live in Austin I live in Midland but whenever I am there this is where I would like to go I have had the brisket it's the best ever
Food was good but they make sure to slow the service so they keep a line out the door to look popular. 5 people at the 2 registers and two cooks cutting meat should move faster.
I tried el loco frito that was really food with right amount of spice with thinly sliced jalapeno. The brisket was good n tender. The mac n cheese was super cheesy. My husband loves the pickled cucumbers and onions. We were not a fan of the potato salad. The taste was horrible. We were able to get a refund. Ribs were okay per my teenage son.

La Barbecue offers some of the best pulled pork and juicy brisket in the city, with an insane beef rib. The mac and cheese was creamy and rich, the beans had a deep, savory kick, and the potato salad was fresh and perfectly balanced. The absolute best was the sliced brisket sandwich. The staff was friendly and made the whole experience even better, and complimentary beer is a good touch. The restaurant has a laid-back neighborhood vibe, and the long wait adds to the experience, with the option to order drinks while in line. It is kid-friendly, with a water station available. Plenty of seating is available both inside and outside, and the restrooms are a unique highlight. Overall, La Barbecue is a must-visit lunch spot in Austin for delicious BBQ, where guests can enjoy individual service and full flavors.
