My daughter tried the avocado toast and she really liked it. I had an Americano, the taste was ok but I don't think that the coffee cup was cleaned properly. At least today, I felt that the restaurant itself was not very clean. They are serving food to the table but not the cutlery, that is a bit interesting.

I ordered take out on 6/9/2026. My salad was missing the Caesar dressing and my sandwich combo was missing the side of fresh fruits. No free bread was added, even when I requested online. Ordered Diet Pepsi and received regular Pepsi. I didn’t have time to check my order upon receiving since I had a small lunch window break. This is upsetting….

I would recommend this place to anyone. I travel for work and eat plenty of restaurants across Texas and this restaurant is definitely a top choice for sure.

Great quiet place to come eat comfort food/ desserts. There's plenty of parking & Handicap slots available, wheelchair accessible.
Dietary restrictions & vegan options to chose from.
Had a wonderful visit this afternoon! The food came out quickly and Betty was so helpful and a pleasure to chat with!

I ordered my food and sat down to eat. While I was eating my French onion soup, a fly landed on my chicken salad. Shortly after, another fly landed on my bread and strawberry spinach salad. It was so gross that I completely lost my appetite.
I asked if I could get a new chicken salad to go, and the staff accommodated my request. However, by that point my appetite was gone, and I didn't end up eating the salad until much later.
Sad, I love la Madeleine.
We had a private party reserved for the last day of school for our local school. Betty helped make sure the ordering process, setup and presentation was easy on me! All the staff was kind and took care of the teachers! The backroom was a little hot, so they quickly accommodated our group needs (55) and we took over the main dining areas. Very grateful to Betty, Robbie, Jennifer, Chef Vicki and Chef Jose and all the staff at Sunset Valley! The food was delicious, the coffee hot and the staff was kind!

🇫🇷🥐 The fireplace created a cozy atmosphere, and the complimentary homemade toast was a nice touch. One of the most unique details was the French lessons in the restroom—something different from most bakeries and a fun surprise. The food was standard, but the service was great and made the experience enjoyable overall. ☕🥖

Going down hill. The cashier ask twice for a tip while I was paying. Also, he was in a conversation obviously social with a guy while there was people waiting in line for him to finish to talk. They run out of crotons so my Cesar salad was only lettuce. I will definitely not be coming around any more.

We did not make it in time for the croissants dipped in chocolate sprinkles with pistachios. However, we had an ice latte and croissants....

Been a fan for decades. Always pleased with what I order (usually breakfasts, quiche, salads or pastries). Drip coffee is always great. Was so happy to see that the self-serve free bread, butter and jam was brought back out (been missing since Covid precautions prevented it). My only issue is the lack of upkeep on the exterior of the building. If there weren't cars parked out front, you might think they we're an abandoned building. I understand choosing to put your money towards running a great restaurant inside, but first impressions mean a lot, too.
