This place is terrible. We were seated quickly, but no server for 15 minutes. This place is not large, and when the server finally acknowledged us, I was surprised to find out that it was a guy that had walked by us about 7 or 8 times. Also once he finally came by very pretentious, and un apologetic. Beef carpaccio was bland and mainly a plate of arugula. We tried 3 entrees to give this place a shot, mussels had a funky smell, the chicken in the chicken parm tasted like it was fried in old oil, and about McDonald chicken quality. The spicy sausage pasta was ok, but we have made that recipe at home countless times. The reviews of this place are misleading, and am sure they will be coming down soon. Worst meal I’ve had in as long as I can remember! Save your Money go anywhere else!

Nice place, great aesthetics and vibe. The food overall was very plainly seasoned.

We were a table of 6. The Focicia was the biggest complaint, why serve it like a big muffin, it was so difficult to cut and serve. The worst thing we ordered.

Carpaccio was ok, but very little beef carpaccios more of an arugula salad with beef accents. Every dish I ordered had beet and arugula which was exhausting. The salmon was ok, but the carbonara and the puttanesca pasta was blah. It was not super tasty. Everything lacked salt and taste.

I was in Austin from out of state. We looked forward to visiting this restaurant with our Austin family. We made reservations a day in advance for a Thursday night. We got there and told our table wasn't ready. It was fairly cool outdoors the hostess told us it would be a wait unless we wanted to eat outside. We said no and asked where we could sit, she told us outdoors on a bench or at the bar. We had a table of 6, no room at the bar. The hostess and server was not apologetic at all. We left and went to another restaurant in the same Plaza. It was busy, we didn't have a reservation and they welcomed us in. Need less to say, my next visit to Austin, I won't be go back to LA Traviata.

My husband and I went out for a rare date night and this restaurant didn’t disappoint. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. I highly recommend saving room for the tiramisu and an espresso martini!

La Traviata offers a true taste of Italy in the heart of Austin. The atmosphere is cozy and romantic, perfect for date nights or catching up with friends over a glass of wine. Service is warm and attentive, and the kitchen consistently delivers top-tier Italian comfort food that feels homemade yet elevated.

What to order:
🍝 Carbonara – creamy, rich, and perfectly seasoned
🍷 Bolognese – hearty and full of depth
🥖 Focaccia – warm, soft, and paired beautifully with olive oil
🍋 Calamari – light and crisp with a zesty dipping sauce
🍮 Tiramisu – a must for dessert lovers

The wine list is well-curated, and each dish pairs wonderfully with their Italian selections. La Traviata is a downtown favorite for anyone seeking authentic flavors and a charming dining experience.

Delicious Italian Food!
We had the Chicken Parmesan and it was stellar. The chicken was crispy, sauce was the right amount of sweet and bitter, and the pasta was cooked perfectly.

We came here for dinner and loved the vibe of this place. It had beautiful aesthetics with all the soft lighting. Our server was great and overall service was quick. My one negative for the evening was all our food was warm and not exactly hot. I wish it was hotter.

We got Arancini, mushroom fettuccine and a duck entree. The arancini came out in 5 mins. It tasted great but I wish it was hot. It was crispy and cheesy and paired well with the tomato sauce. The mushroom fettuccine had amazing truffle smell and tasted great. It comes with plenty of mushrooms. Great vegetarian option. The duck was a little on the dry side but the cheesy potato it came with was delicious.

We ended the dinner with profiteroles. It came with ice cream and a nice drizzle of chocolate sauce. Sadly the profiteroles felt dry and old. They comped us for dessert even though we asked them not to which was nice of them.

I would definitely come back to try some other dishes here. Great spot for dinner dates and special occasions

First off, I want to say this restaurant has very good food. Anything I say should not be a reason to visit. We have been here numerous times and food is consistently good. Last night we had dinner. We sat in the bar and were talking to another couple because our table was not ready. When the hostess came to get us we had drinks and did not get up right away. When we finally did up she said you only have 1 hour and 15 minutes to eat since you stayed at the bar. Hmm, would you kick us out after that time when we are enjoying more than one bottle of wine and ordering dessert? We would have to stand up and just leave? Furthermore, when we did order we got a salad and it was good and no pressure. When we ordered our food, we were sitting digesting our salad when our dinners came, and I mean they came out in 2 minutes, no more. We were shocked! Please don't make me feel I have to get thru a time limit when we are probably spending over $200 for dinner.

This is my second time visiting [Restaurant Name], and once again it did not disappoint. I really enjoyed the Prosecco and the dessert — the profiterole was excellent. The Bolognese, however, is not made in the traditional Italian style; it’s a bit creamier. Personally, I prefer the classic version, but if you enjoy bolder flavors with a hint of spice or more vegetables, you might really like it. Overall, this is definitely a place worth visiting. The setting is beautiful, the service is excellent, and the staff is always attentive to your table. A very good experienc

Just wanted to share a thank you to the restaurant the exceptional food and service. Book your reservation online with a restaurant not open door if it's over 8 open door doesn't accommodate but the restaurant was kind of enough to do their best to get us all seated in one place. Their food and services over the top not to mention the bar everything about this place is outstanding. Just wanted to say thank you for your accommodations and always treating us to an extraordinary experience!!!

This place does it right whether it is the attention to detail with the service, the musical selection making you feel like you’re in Italy, or the food that is delicious every time. We enjoy coming here for date nights or when family is in town, and typically order the bolognese, but get even more excited when they have lamb lasagna as the special.

This place is loud, but that's ok, just put some delicious Italian food in your mouth and you don't have to talk anyway. Really...the food is great. If you haven't already been, you should just try it. You'll like it.
