Came here because we didnt want to cook after yard work. The cachetada brunch item was very delicious. Savory. Filling. Tha toasted cheese and tortilla.... yum. Modelo was crispy cold.
Brunch was AWESOME! We live right down the road and have been to dinner, also awesome, but had no idea that they had brunch. Highly recommend

La Popular Austin is a lovely place to eat with fantastic tacos and churros to die for. The nachos starter is wonderful with the right balance of spices. The Quesabirria, Carnitas, and Campechano tacos are especially outstanding. The food is really tasty with great flavors and the margaritas are good. The vibe is dark and stylish, kind of like a nightclub. It is a huge value add to the area and very consistent. Service is usually friendly and efficient, though it feels limited and things don’t flow as quickly as they should. It’s a must-visit for good Mexican food, and don’t forget to try their chili pepper powder mango lollipops at the end of the meal. Highly recommended.
