Didn't advertise fixed menu for VDay, which was incompatible for our party due to dietary restrictions and wildly expensive for what it was, said they would charge us for cancelling reservation when we tried to leave and go elsewhere (as if half the establishment wasn't empty). Only way we could get out of being charged was to order an overpriced drink at the bar. Staff and management were rude to us when we tried to leave. I'm sure the food would have been good but their entitled staff need an attitude adjustment before I would ever try them again.

Amazing food and almost amazing margaritas. Easy to park. Get the Las Palomas plate

This is one of my favorite Mexican food spots across both San Antonio and Austin. The drinks are some of the strongest and best value you'll find around town. The food is excellent... but where people tend to go wrong is that they expect your average Tex-Mex. This is not a Tex-Mex restaurant, so if you're expecting greasy enchiladas and Spanish rice, you may be disappointed. However, if you are interested in real Mexican flavors and good margaritas, you can't go wrong here.

I had the ceviche tostadas and it is some of the best ceviche I've ever had! Chips and salsa were great, too. We were able to be seated in the back room which allowed us to have a conversation and still enjoy the music. Great service.

Fantastic Jazz Band! And the wait staff and hostess were so personable. Excellent food. Consistently the best in Austin!

Food was fine. Nothing exciting, but fresh & good. service was prompt and adequate. Not much in the way of atmosphere. We ate indoors. They also have a patio (both beside the parking lot, but patio is screened.)

Longstanding doesn’t always mean great things. The Mexican Martini & Traditional Top Shelf Margarita were stand outs. Fresh squeezed lime, not a premix. The Queso Fundido was just bad. No one should put vinegar soaked vegetables on top of cheese. Not good. The skillet was heated to the point that the cheese we did eat had a burnt taste. Avoid this appetizer. Tortillas were made elsewhere.

Love the food, however, the cost is CRAZY if you want to do a self pick up. There is a Significant bump in price to do a pick up.

Great neighborhood Mexican food and drinks. We sat on the patio since it was such a nice day - so noise level was minimal - the main dining rooms tend to be a little noise for us senior citizens who wear hearing aids. The food is always very tasty, the wait staff and hostess and busboys all terrific - responded to every one of our requests with friendly and polite service. This is my "go to" lunch and dinner spot - everyone always loves it.

The margaritas were truly good. I would happily order them again. 8.5/10.
Please learn from my mistake and pass on the queso fundido. It was more veggies than cheese, and the vinegar onions are not complimentary. Just don’t. 0/10.
