Besides the buzz kill that sat next to me it was fine. I don’t know where the food that people were eating came from but I didn’t see how to get some. They probably need another bartender

First come first served position for the main screen outside is ridiculous. A popular PPV sporting event is happening and it’s relegated to the small screens outside with no audio because one person wanted to watch a football game that’s now consuming the major screen - despite billing themselves as “Fight Night HQ” - which makes the whole event not worthwhile. Explicitly asked by multiple patrons to switch the screens for events and audio, but they insist on playing house music rather than audio from the screens and weird priority of customer requests.

I can no longer support Little Woodrow’s because of their ongoing turtle races on Thursday nights. Forcing these animals to race while the DJ screams profanities and encourages an atmosphere of aggression for entertainment is just insane. Watching these turtles suffer for a few laughs or a free beer was disturbing, and several people around me felt uncomfortable. South Austin is a creative and progressive community, and many other bars have found ethical, fun ways to entertain patrons without exploiting animals. It’s time for Little Woodrow’s to follow suit. I hope management reconsiders this inhumane practice and puts an end to it. Until then, I won’t be returning, and I encourage others who care about animal welfare to do the same.

The bar is actually pretty good. The turtle races are basically torture for the poor things. Stop that crap.
Good place to watch a ball game.

Sports city. Great screens. Friendly staff. Cold beer. Nice people. Get some wings or pizza next door and soak up the sun.

Fun place for watching the football game or the ufc/boxing fights. Online said no cover but charged 5 bucks per person, cheap so it's fine. Seating is tricky, at peak times you may have to scotch or share picnic benches with strangers but folks are generally friendly. Food is not associated with the place and is very pricey. Wings were good but again pricey for the quality. I would come again for another event but I'll be better prepared.
Parking: On game or fight nights, you may have to park pretty far from the venue but is free.

I had so much fun with the turtle races last night, which I didn’t know was a thing but was so fun! The bar tender Caitlin was awesome and made one of the best bloody Mary’s I’ve had from an atx bar. Highly recommend!!

My first time here! The bartender Caitlin was so friendly and fun! She recommend I enter in the turtle races and I won my first race! I also met Sam the general manager and she was really cool and made me feel so welcome! They also looooved my dog! I will definitely be coming back here ASAP!

I had a disappointing experience on August 19, 2024, with the manager and bartender. They seemed to judge whether to serve you based on their impressions, which was quite frustrating.
