Decent food but not an honest business. Bait and switch pricing. Their outdated menu with old pricing is linked to google. When I picked up my order cost 2x expected - the host was well aware of the issue and stated “yeah, google wants $500-$700 to fix it so we just left it” Weird thing to tell a customer and definitely something that should be fixed. Happy to pay the appropriate amount for plates but they need to be up front about their pricing.
Lotus Hunan is conveniently located just minutes from where I work, and my CEO has been coming here for years. I’m grateful to finally experience why. Their primary operator, Raymond, is an outstanding host who always takes care of us and delivers excellent service every time.
On top of that, the food is consistently great. I recommend Lotus Hunan to anyone passing by and looking for delicious Chinese food at a very fair price.

Our whole family loves this place. The food is excellent. The staff is attentive and kind. The owner personally helps with food sensitivities. And seems to remember everyone. It's not fancy but it feels so homey.

A reliable spot for classic Chinese comfort fare with big portions and fair prices. Dishes like the orange chicken, pepper steak and wonton soup consistently hit the mark.
The staff are friendly, service is efficient, and it's fast-paced perfect for a solid lunch or relaxed takeout. it’s a dependable favorite I Will keep coming back to. 10\10 🫶🏾

The restaurant is clean and properly maintained, but definitely not what I would call inspiring decor. The staff is this restaurant's strongest suited. Pleasant and easy to chat with about the offering. Unfortunately this is all offset by incredibly mediocre food. Both dishes I ordered were stretched. Meaning the hot and sour soup more a broth, rather than a hearty soup that I'm accustomed to. The Mongolian beef was 50% bamboo shoot and just a smattering of low quality beef. I definitely would not eat here again.

I really hate to have to give this place a bad review. It used to be my go-to for Chinese food. But, today I was intentionally misgendered by staff, which is a real shame as I was very friendly and tipped well. But me in a bad mood and I totally lost my appetite.
Food: I ordered sesame chicken and it was fine. It was overcooked but the sauce and fired rice were great. Good place to visit if you're craving dark meat. Not as good as I remember it being.
Service: Meh, see above.
Atmosphere: pretty standard hole-in-the-wall type Chinese place. Most of the patrons were elderly, which makes sense for it being Westlake. Nice and quite, though.
That's it, that's my review. Probably wont be back.

Look, I was craving Chinese food after a long week so far. I heard this place was good, read some reviews…I decided to order take out as I walked in, my first reaction was to walk out..the place looked tired and the floor was carpeted. I have allergies so I usually steer clear of carpeted restaurants. I did walk out but, I came back as I saw people come in. , Maybe it is what I ordered. I ordered kung pow chicken, chicken with mixed vegetables in a white sauce, roasted duck, Mushu, pork with pancakes, and four egg drop soups. The total was $90.
I came home and started to serve my family… the food was not what I expected at all. The kung pow chicken was unflavored and the meat was slightly fried and the chestnuts were turned.!!! My dish of chicken and mixed veggies was gross, no flavor and greasy to be exact. The best dish out of everything was the Mushu pork with the pancake tortillas and plum sauce. I felt bad that I served this to my family when I could have ordered from Wu chow! I wasted money, time and energy. After a long day of work… I ended up cooking even after spending 90.00$ on food that was not worth the money. Sorry to write this. The others that walked in seemed like regulars and the head man seemed genuinely kind and engaging. I eat Chinese food globally. Maybe I and my family expected something different. I threw away 90.00$ even the egg drop soup tasted off even a bit southwestern… now if you like that.. enjoy! Never again, at least I tried the restaurant out.
