When we arrived at 4:00pm the music was very loud and we had trouble hearing our friends across the table. However, we requested the music be turned down some and staff complied immediately and apologized.

What a beautiful delicious addition to our Hood! Yamas is a bright, happy place. The Mediterranean pasta is to die for, and the myriad of appetizers are great to share. It is a family owned restaurant and you can feel the pride in their cuisine and their staff. It is the festive place for my next celebration!

I was fortunate enough to spend two weeks in Greece a few years ago, and Yama's vibe and food makes you feel like you're there. It's a gorgeous restaurant. We sat outdoors surrounded by bougainvillea and when the sun went down, lovely lighting kicked on. Our server, Leslie, was very knowledgeable and completely charming. We very much enjoyed visiting with him. The food was all fabulous. Very fresh fish. The appetizers were appropriately proportioned. The lemony garlic potatoes were to die for. This feels like a neighborhood restaurant where you could just go sit and visit and leave very stuffed and happy. We have been to some of the new and notable Greek restaurants in town, but this is now hands-down, my favorite.

I visited Yamas for a Sunday brunch and the vibe and food was excellent. It was a nice break from the regular day to day and gives you a feeling of being transported to Greece. I sat on the patio and they had a great DJ. The space itself has a beautiful aesthetic and the staff were very helpful and knowledgeable of the menu. The only con I have is the parking, BUT there was plenty of parking at the church next door and right across the street. Overall, I give it a 9/10 and can't wait to visit again soon!

Great atmosphere and amazing service. Walking into the restaurant felt like I was walking into a local village in Greece. Had brunch on Sunday with a friend at the bar and the food was outstanding. There were so many fantastic options on the menu that it was hard to choose what to eat! I love how the menu is a modern and fresh twist on traditional Greek dishes. Will be back again to try the rest of the menu!

This was our first visit to the restaurant and we were immediately impressed by the decor. They could lose the disco balls though. The food was good, but not exactly cheap for Greek food. We had a good evening and the staff were very efficient..

So excited to have this gym in our neighborhood! We showed up a bit past when the kitchen had closed and I only did they keep the kitchen open and make us some plates. They set us outside in the festive VIP area, where there was fun music, and even a magician. The food is always spot on and we loved everything. We ordered from the fried feta with honey and the octopus as well as the meatballs. I'm still dreaming about those meatballs!

This is a must for any Austinite or visitor !! The good is excellent ! We shared appetizers but wished we gotten the fried zucchini after seeing how scrumptious it looked at table next to us and a mussaka & beef carpaccio ; the white sangria was delicious as were the mocktails ! Service was slow & rather forgetful of some items but servers were very pleasant !! Loved it so much we're going g back in April !

Really yummy food and passed the vibe check. Super instagramable spot. Our reservation was at 11:30 and the restaurant was slow but around 12:30 it picked up. Saturday brunch exceeded my expectations

The people at Yamas have done a fantastic job! You feel transported Greece – Ibiza. The interior is beautifully decorated, so bright and airy and happy! All the people working seemed to love to being there! The Saturday brunch had a DJ and the place was thumping! Not the best moment to catch up with an old friend, but we really enjoyed ourselves! And the food was fresh and delicious! Can't wait to go back!

Our reservation was at 8 and we weren't seated until 8:20. No one came to check on us for another ten minutes. It took another 20 for appetizers to come (and then came all separate so had to wait for more pita which meant the dips got cold). Both the fava bean paste and hummus were incredibly flavorless and the pita was charred and soaked in olive oil. The chicken souvlaki was grey and pink, not good quality or authentic, and took another hour to arrive. There was a magician who pulled out a bird (animal cruelty and not hygienic for a restaurant). So many servers but none did anything. It was also a special occasion as noted in the reservation and no one said anything the entire night. Overall cannot recommend anyone go here.

I brought my mom, who grew up in Greece, here. The dolmadakia were the best she's ever had, and the moussaka reminded her of being a little girl again. I was really surprised by the zucchini pancakes! I expected them to be flat, but they were thick and extremely flavorful. The service was impeccable, and we were greeted by every server we passed, even if they weren't ours. The place itself is absolutely beautiful, but was very loud during the dinner rush and made conversation indoors really difficult. Will definitely be making this a regular place to frequent.

I had brunch at Yamas the Sunday before I had this dinner reservation and the service was very poor / food was moderate. I chalked it up to our seating being in the first time slot and Yamas not being experts at Greek brunch cuisine (but lunch/dinner would be better). I then went to a girls' dinner the following Thursday night there. The food was pretty good, but unfortunately it took 2 hours for us to receive our entrees. When the manager came by and asked how we were doing, we asked about our food and he said it would be a "few minutes"-- it then took 20 minutes for us to receive it. Unfortunately the flavor of the food was overshadowed by the lack of attention by the staff and horrible wait times on the food. I will not go back here since this seems like the norm for this restaurant.

The place is great! My only issue is that 2 times I've been out of 3 I've had to be rushed out of my table due to backed up reservations - they claim it's because when it rains outside they have to move people in because its not covered which messes up reservations if tables don't eat and move on. They were nice about it both times, however, it was definitely a bummer to feel a bit rushed. I'd recommend they cover the outdoor space.

Great food, but considerably overpriced for what you get. Ambiance is very nice and really brings Greece home. The noise level, however.... awful!!! This was my third time eating here and it was the worst. Don't accept seating in the area to the right of the entrance. The tables are jammed in there. We were four ladies and were surrounded by two large and very noisy groups. We could literally not hear each other across the table. Definitely consider making a reservation for no later than 6PM.
