We were referred to this restaurant because my friend knows the owner. Unfortunately, while we had high expectations, the overall experience was very disappointing.
The drinks were watered down, and the food was nothing special—definitely not worth the price. On top of that, the service was extremely poor.
Our waiter—tall, Caucasian, short hair (I believe his name was Mike or Bryan)—clearly lacked basic customer service skills. From the moment I asked for separate tickets for the group and drinks, he seemed visibly annoyed.
We went during happy hour and were served a very watered-down margarita that was initially charged at $20. I had to remind him it was happy hour; he adjusted it to $18, but then added gratuity to my drink ticket only, not the others. He also added automatic gratuity to our meal for a group of four, which felt unnecessary but we let it go.
One person in our group ordered the same drink 2–3 times, and the waiter later asked if he could reuse the same glass because they had run out. In my 45 years, I have never experienced that—completely unacceptable.
Another person arrived earlier and ordered at the bar, where they were charged regular price instead of happy hour. The bartender corrected the price but said gratuity was not included, which made her feel pressured to tip.
As we were leaving, the waiter loudly called us back, saying one margarita hadn’t been paid for—only to later realize it had been paid.
Overall, this was a very bad experience for everyone in our group. Between watered-down drinks, mediocre food, inconsistent pricing, added gratuity, and unprofessional service, we will not be returning.

There were too many flies, not enough drink glasses so the same ones had to be reused, and the women’s restroom was visible from our table.

The decor is beautiful. It is a really nice place. The food is good. It's just a service that seems to be lacking. They don't check on you as often as they should. We needed refills on tea on the hot sauce, some napkins. There's really no rhyme or rhythm to the popsicles. I stood there and the waitress or the lady took care of the other people before she took care of me since I was the first one there. So she seemed kind of rude the way she responded to me like I'm not your waitress instead of helping me and then ringing me up. It kind of destroyed. All the good about the restaurant. They need some lessons on customer service.

Y'all! I've lived in Austin for six years and driven past this place more tines than I can count.
Today my daughter and I stopped in for dinner.
I am rethinkingvthe past six years of my life!
Super cute! Amazingly friendly staff! Gorgeous patio and outside play area.
The food is fantastic! We shared beef fajitas and they were hot, fresh, and melted like butter into homemade tortillas.
Served with a generous portion of guacamole, sour cream, cheese, and Pico.
The refried beans and rice were delicious. They weren't a complete afterthought like at so many places.
The strawberry margarita was perfection and the creamy jalapeno was fresh, flavorful, and a MUST for your chips and fajitas or tacos.
We will seek out reasons to go back again and again...

As much as I enjoyed the atmosphere, the staff decided to upcharge me for drinks. We ordered 4 kids meals and 6 drinks and I was charged $465.00. DO NOT go to this place hoping to be treated with respect. After I asked if I could speak to the manager he came out asking for me to “speak in English” and then told me to never come back because I asked why I was charged $460 dollars. If I could give zero stars I would. Shame on you. Do better. Be careful.

Not dog friendly despite having a patio in the Austin area. I'll take my family to the Good Lot instead.
Update since they responded: I wouldn't have been so upset this day if they had told me about the service dog only when I stopped in at the hostess stand before going to the patio. I stopped and asked and no one said anything.
My 7 year old was already on the playground and the rest of my family on their way when I spotted the signs as I sat down. I started making plans with my family to meet somewhere else. My server even tried to take my drink order before some other person finally came out and told me to leave.
Like I said, I wouldn't have been so upset if someone had just told me when I originally asked at the hostess stand. It was just a huge pain to have to pull my kid off the playground and reroute my family to a different place after the fact.

Terrible experience as a disabled person. Everyone was rude and unfriendly. The server approached me and said “no pets allowed” I responded that my dog is a service animal. She then asked if I had his papers, and I told her that it is NOT [an ADA] requirement. She quickly walked away to go tell her manager. He came outside and said “no dogs allowed” and I told him too, that my dog is a service animal. He replied “no he is not” I said he is. Then he asked for the papers and I responded the same way, that it isn’t required. He then literally argued back and forth about 4 or 5 times saying he is not a service animal.
FYI by law, service animals don’t have to look a certain way. They aren’t certain breeds. The only requirement is that the animal is trained to do a task for the owner’s disability. By law you are allowed to ask, “Is that a service animal?”You can then ask “What service or task are they trained to do?” ADA doesn’t require a vest, or “papers.”
I didn’t appreciate that the server was then very rude to my family and I the rest of our time there. She barely came to our table, we didn’t get water refills even once, and she skipped over our table multiple times while checking on those around us. Disgusted that anyone would treat a family like that. Just because you don’t “believe” a customer doesn’t mean that you have to act personally offended. Especially since my dog literally sat under my chair the entire time. Y’all should learn the actual law before discriminating against a disabled person.

Guadalupe and the rest of the patio staff are amazing. Keeps the margs and Modelo flowing. Food is always good. I recommend the burrito de la Reyna.

Haven't been here in awhile server was okay which was the only saving grace. Mango margarita was not good. Kids meals don't come with a drink? Everything was overpriced and quality was not great.
