Visited mile high mo’s yesterday from London on my search for halal food in Austin, and it did not disappoint. Top quality service, and unbeatable food - definitely worth checking out if you love a Philly cheesesteak

@milehighmosusa is a great local spot in Austin known for hearty comfort food, generous portions, and bold flavors. The atmosphere is casual and laid-back, making it an easy choice for a quick bite or a relaxed meal. Their menu focuses on classic favorites done right, with an emphasis on fresh ingredients and satisfying portions.
We ordered the Philly cheesesteak, buffalo chicken fingers, and the smash burger, and everything was absolutely delicious. The Philly cheesesteak was packed with tender, flavorful meat and melted cheese, while the buffalo chicken fingers were crispy, juicy, and perfectly coated with just the right amount of heat. The smash burger stood out with its crispy edges, juicy patty, and well-balanced toppings.
Everything tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and made to order. Mile High Mo’s delivers solid comfort food that hits the spot, and it’s definitely a place worth checking out if you’re in Austin and craving something flavorful and satisfying.

I really love this place and also the food. I came during closing time which I know can be annoying but Farhan was very nice to me and allowed me to order and enjoy my food. I definitely will be coming back again

I was only in Austin for a couple of days, and as always, my first mission was to find great food. I stumbled across Mile High Mo’s completely by accident, and wow – what a happy accident! This place absolutely blew me away.

I went for the Steak Philly, and even though it’s not a super-traditional cheesesteak, it was perfection. Easily a 10/10 – I’d recommend it to anyone and everyone. The meat was rich and flavorful, the bun was perfectly soft, and I loved that the sauce came on the side so I could add exactly the amount I wanted. Every bite had this incredible balance: savory, punchy, satisfying, but never overly heavy.

The smash burger somehow managed to be even better (I didn’t think that was possible!). The patty was seared to crispy perfection on the outside while still juicy and pink in the middle, seasoned just right, and topped with the ideal amount of sauce, flavorful without drowning anything. It was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had.

Everything tasted fresh, thoughtful, and made with care. I really hope this wasn’t a one-off experience because I’m already planning my next trip back to Austin just to eat here again. If you’re anywhere near Mile High Mo’s, do yourself a favor and stop in, you won’t be disappointed!

The burgers here are amazing, the owner is extremely friendly and patiently explained to us the various options. I can’t wait to come back and try more things on the menu.

I came here based on all the glowing reviews and left seriously disappointed.

The Philly cheesesteak was described by others as flavorful and amazing, but mine was soggy, bland, and completely lacking flavor. The meat didn’t taste seasoned at all, and the whole sandwich just felt wet and boring.

The fries were another letdown. They’re advertised and reviewed as crispy and double-fried, but ours were soggy and limp. Definitely not what was promised.

The cheese curds were okay — nothing special, but at least edible.

What really pushed this experience over the edge was the bathroom. It was dirty and smelled strongly like urine, which is unacceptable for any restaurant.

We paid around $50 for two sandwiches and an order of cheese curds, which feels wildly overpriced for the quality we received. For that price point, I expect much better food and cleanliness.

I honestly don’t understand the high volume of positive reviews based on our experience. Maybe we caught them on an off day, but it was bad enough that we won’t be back.

If you want a truly great Philly cheesesteak, go to Cherrywood Cafe across the highway. Their sandwich is outstanding — real slices of beef (not ground), full of flavor, and made the way a Philly should be.

Super disappointed overall.

They need to be honest to their customer about the sizes of the buns all sliders in regular prices

food is the good kind of fried, tastes awesome, you know it’s not healthy, but it doesn’t leave you feeling heavy after

We had the Philly cheesesteak, poutine, and some fried cheese ball things and everything was solid. Nothing overcomplicated, just good food done right

Easy place to stop for a quick bite or grab takeout, I’d definitely come back next time I’m in Austin
