We flew in from Florida for an event and met our son‘s friend for dinner. Since he’s from Austin, he knew one of the bartenders and got us a seat in the back room to chill while we were waiting for our table. When we did get our table, it was right inside the front door, so there was a lot of noise and people moving around while we are eating. I have a chicken dish with mashed potatoes, which was good. Our waiter was very helpful.

I went for a party. We had popcorn, brisket quesadillas and corn queso for appetizers. House salad. Jalapeño hanger steak for the entree, macaroni and Brussel sprouts. Chocolate espresso brownie for dessert. Good food and customer service.

We had my husband’s birthday dinner here. The atmosphere was perfect! We had the fried green tomatoes and I did not expect them to be so delicious and unique. The waygu Salisbury steak was delicious as well. My husband is a bourbon drinker and they did not disappoint on selection. Our waitress was awesome! I can’t wait to get back through Austin and come again!

Moonshine Grill was the best choice we could’ve made for Thanksgiving. The buffet was incredible—prime rib, turkey, ham, and a great variety of sides like mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, deviled eggs, plus plenty of fresh fruit and desserts. It truly captured the festive Thanksgiving spirit.
Valet parking was $12, and there’s also street parking nearby.
I’m definitely coming back next year—hoping I can snag a reservation again!

This has become one of our favorite downtown restaurants. The food is fresh and the menu is original. Let me be clear, it is a restaurant with a bar not a bar that serves food. The dishes and sides are well thought out, fantastically prepared and we'll priced. I definitely recommend it to anyone in the downtown area.
