Nawabi Hyderabad House Austin

This was a pickup order from last Sunday. We picked up the food and ate it as soon as we got home.

We ordered several dishes, but I had a serious issue with two items. The Malai Kofta was clearly stale, and the breads were extremely hard, as if they had been reheated from an older batch and served to us.

I immediately called the restaurant and explained the situation. I even offered to bring the curry and breads back so they could see for themselves. The person I spoke with told me that wouldn’t be necessary and assured me that a refund would be issued.

It’s now been over 10 days, and despite multiple follow-up calls, I still haven’t received the refund. Every time I call, I’m given a different excuse: “Call back tomorrow,” “The owner isn’t here,” or “We’ve already informed the owner.” Yet nothing actually gets resolved.

At this point, it feels like they’re simply hoping I’ll get tired of calling and give up on the refund altogether.

My biggest concern is not just the refund, but the way customers are being treated. Serving stale food and then failing to honor a promised refund is unacceptable, especially considering the prices being charged. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves both their food quality and customer service.

The food was good, the atmosphere was pleasant, and Sai provided great service throughout our visit. He was polite, attentive, and made sure we were comfortable. Would definitely recommend this place!

I walked in at 11:33 to get Iranian chai because it's delicious and I wanted my morning caffeine. At 11:33 they said they didn't have any Iranian chai made... What time do they expect people to drink Chai?

Thank God Starbucks was right across the building. At least they have their caffine ready.

The fried rice was so oily and the biryani was very bland. The mutton pieces were very hard. The food used to be so flavorful back then. Disappointed to see the quality is nowhere close to how it was.

One of the best spots to grab biryanis. Their recent remodeling, and evaluating customer feedback, adding things to the menu is bringing a very positive vibe. I strongly recommend their biryanis, appetizers and sugar cane juice

Very disappointing experience. The restaurant advertises a dosa buffet, but the service was extremely poor. We waited a long time for dosas, and they were not brought to the table in a timely manner. Several times we had to remind the staff about our order, and even then the dosas arrived very late despite the restaurant not appearing overly busy.
The dosa served for our children was cold and not fresh. A buffet is supposed to provide a variety of options with prompt service, but we spent more time waiting than eating. This was one of the worst dining experiences we've had.
What was even more disappointing was the lack of concern from the staff and management. There was no apology for the delay, no effort to correct the issue, and no attention given to customer satisfaction. The service was slow throughout our visit, and we repeatedly had to follow up on our order.
The restaurant seemed poorly managed and disorganized. Customers should not have to wait excessively for food only to receive it cold. When dining with children, timely service and food quality are especially important, and this restaurant failed on both counts.
Based on our experience, please don’t go to this restaurant by seeing google reviews. I would not recommend this restaurant to families looking for good service or quality food. There are many better options in the area that value their customers' time and provide a much better dining experience.

One of the worst biryanis I have ever tasted. The restaurant’s name creates expectations of authentic Nawabi or Hyderabadi cuisine, but the chicken biryani was nowhere close. It was bland, had almost no salt, barely any spices, and lacked the signature aroma and rich flavors that a good biryani should have. The overall dish felt poorly prepared. Very disappointing experience, and I will not be coming back again.
