The Far Out Lounge & Stage Reviews
Saw Fat Tony a few weeks back. my first show in 8 months. Awesome show.
But also fantastic venue. Sound was great as was the speed to get a drink or use the facilities.
Was happy to see how safe and attentive the staff was. They were great about enforcing social distancing with utmost politeness.
Love the awesome murals behind the stage by Eye Dr. Beautiful and triply. 👁 def impressed my date who’s new to Austin and hadn’t been able to see any live music...read full review
Had a great time here last weekend. Perfect place for covid precautions. Music setup is great. Just be aware of a few things before you go.
1. absolutely no dancing is allowed (not even at your table) 2. line for drinks is VERY long (around 30 min) 3. line for bathroom is also VERY long (around 20 min) 4. several food trucks on site but if you want brunch on Sunday from Fowl Mouth you have to order from the bar (time in line plus wait for food was about 1 hour) 5. do not go...read full review

The Far Out Lounge & Stage is a popular spot in Austin, known for its unique atmosphere and live music. It offers a fantastic experience for visitors, with a range of events including funk bands, karaoke, and tribute bands. The venue is spacious, allowing guests to enjoy intimate performances close to the stage. The outdoor patio is a nice area to relax, and the venue hosts many larger events and festivals throughout the year, such as the hot sauce festival and the witches market. Live music is often featured, making it always a good time. The bartenders are great, providing attentive service, and guests have enjoyed food from the Austin Rotisserie food truck, with favorites including whole birds with potatoes, perfect for sharing. The venue has a solid beer selection and good food options out back. It is important to note that Austin has a 10 PM curfew for amplified music, which may lead to indoor performances later in the night. Parking can be limited during large events, so planning ahead is recommended. Visitors have mentioned that the outdoor patio and the lively atmosphere make it a cool place to bring friends and create lasting memories. However, guests should be prepared to advocate for themselves or grip the bar, as forming a line can be tricky. Overall, although relatively young, The Far Out Lounge & Stage has become one of the best music venues in Austin, thanks to its great atmosphere, solid drinks, and attentive staff.
