A mesmerizing dining experience at their patio on a breezy spring evening. Cannot wait for them to come back

I had my wedding reception at Olive and June last week and was so happy and impressed with the ease of coordinating the event, the food, and the service. The food was of top notch quality, the staff were professional and friendly, and of course the oak tree made the overall aesthetic to die for. I highly recommend this spot for anyone’s wedding reception or other event! I traveled from Houston to have my wedding in Austin and it was worth it.

Y’all — go here! You know those meals where the food, the atmosphere, and service all line up, and you leave feeling not only full but also deeply content? This place provided that experience, and we were well taken care of by Tara and Hunter. Lovely place for a low-key date night.

I was also amazed that they were able to accommodate a dairy allergy and celiac/gluten-free needs, on a night with a limited menu at that! So I was able to enjoy a salad, gluten-free pasta with pomodoro sauce, and a chocolate sorbetto all in one place.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five Stars for Olive & June!

I recently rented Olive & June for my salon's corporate party, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. From start to finish, the experience was absolutely amazing. Their sales team was incredibly easy to work with – super reliable, communicative, and always responsive. They never left me hanging and were remarkably flexible, accommodating all of our needs and even customizing the menu to perfectly suit our event.

On the day of the party, the Olive & June team truly shone. They were so helpful with the setup. The servers were absolutely delightful and made the entire day run so smoothly. As a business owner, working with such a professional and dedicated team was an absolute pleasure. They took all the stress out of the event planning process.

And let's not forget the drinks! Both the cocktails and mocktails were absolutely delicious and a huge hit with our guests. The establishment itself is stunning, creating the perfect ambiance for our celebration.

We will 100% be booking future events with Olive & June. They exceeded all of our expectations and provided a truly five-star experience. If you're looking for a venue for any type of event, look no further!

Okay, so let me start by saying the tree is the part of every review I've ever read that made this place stick. But then it looked a bit too nice and going to a nice restaurant because I just want to see their courtyard seemed silly. I am SO glad I finally went! The food was spectacular. The tree was as amazing as I'd been told. The inside dining room and upstairs bar are decorated nice without being pretentious. The staff was amazing. They were attentive, quick with recommendations, and friendly without staying too long, which is a fine line. The cocktails were equally amazing. It is casual enough that you could get away with jeans and a nice top, but it's also nice enough for special occasions. They also had free valet, and even though it was chilly, the valet was still friendly and nice. There isn't a single thing I'd change about this place. Absolutely recommend!

I'm incredibly picky about Italian food and this is some of the most delicious Italian food I've had in a long time.

Cute neighborhood favorite. Used to love this place but the last three or four visits have been mid at best - great sounding menu items and concepts. The pasta that forms the base of many dishes is fresh and well made. The bread and ricotta/olive oil spread for the table was also great. But the meats and sauces have flavor profiles and textures that are marginally better than central market or hotel catering at a conference buffet. I really want the food to be better, but it’s hard to justify going back when there are so many better/amazing options in Austin.

always so happy when we come here. my partner and I just celebrated our anniversary here. We've been no less than 10 times in the past few years, we bring family and friends here when they visit. The food is always so fresh and balanced, very satisfying. The service is always gracious and prompt. We love the patio so much. By far my favorite patio to drink wine and eat pasta during the summer (ok winter too). I think our server tonight was Andrew, he was very kind.

I’m a walking dietary restriction. Usually it’s a full song/dance to explain limitations and subsequently win over wait staff to make sure I don’t leave hurting. From the jump, Olive & Ivy staff took care of us and ensured I had options on & off the menu. When the food arrived, it was beautiful and the right temperature and very, very tasty! Special thanks to staff who made it a great experience: Maria (new employee in training. - great job girl!) and Mallory (trainer and obviously well versed and hand picked to do the job). When they were out of a certain pastry we wanted, they went above and beyond and comped the substitute. When they heard I couldn’t have the bread, they comped the veggie crudités instead. We enjoyed the food, appreciated the ambience, but mostly impressed with level of service. Thanks for capping Labor Day Weekend for us! Cheers!

Dietary restrictions: On & off menu GF ‘& veggie items.

Decent food but small menu. Prices too high for quality of food but paying for service and atmosphere. Wonderful service and gorgeous patio with a nice wine selection.

Vegetarian options: Very limited selection.

I was shocked by how much money so little food could cost at Olive & June. For $26, you can buy yourself six entire pieces of ravioli—yes, that’s all I got. As you can see in the photo below, the portion was unbelievably small. I actually felt hungrier after finishing the dish than before I started. I can’t believe they would charge so much for such a tiny amount of food.

To add to the overall disappointment, the food was mediocre, the service was slow, and we had to sit outside in 107 degrees. Given the high prices, tiny portions, and lackluster service, I would strongly urge you to go anywhere else. If you’re the owner, you need to reconsider the food portions you are offering your customers.

The restaurant was empty when we got there (friday 7pm) and we were worried that it wouldn’t be great. But it was, people started coming in and the food was good. I had a capellini with pistachio mint pesto and crab meat, i also tried what my friends ordered and by far mine was the best. The chocolate dessert isnt worth it. The bread is amazing

Attended a meeting in the 3rd floor area. Although the room was tight for some 25 attendees plus speaker, the views were great. There were only 2 servers for our group and the food was ok.

In town traveling and dined alone. Was hoping for top notch Italian and not tomato sauce and noodles. Wow! Great overall experience. Fresh bread is served with homemade ricotta, olive oil and herbs. It was a miracle I was disciplined enough to eat only one slice. Pork meatballs in thick, juicy Ragu followed by ricotta ravioli tossed with goodies and added crunchy guinicale. I wanted to finish so badly, but a little wisdom trickled into my brain warning me not to overindulge. Menu has all sorts of tasty sounding options for a true Italian feast! Friendly (and patient) bartender Gwen and another friendly professional, manager Shelby, took great care of me, taking time to explain the menu and drink list. Awesome mocktail, so I'm certain the craft cocktails are worth the trip (unless you're like me and I would have lost my inhibitions and consumed one of everything...dolci sound divine). Nice, comfortable casual seating and you can tell this is a special place because of the enthusiasm of the staff. Plus, the food is extraordinary! Great music ranged from 60s Beatles and Beach
Boys to 70s good time rock and roll! Music enhanced the experience for a change. Glass litre bottles of San Pellegrino! This is a true Italian kitchen and not Olive Garden or Joe's Pizza. So, be prepared to pay for quality. Sometimes you get what you pay for (and I am thankful I did). Gwen and Shelby were very polite with me and kept me company with conversation, which is extra nice when you're dining alone. I'm certain my wife would call them angels for putting up with me for an evening. I think I'm invited back...if not, I'll go incognito so I can try the Dolci and Secondi (and secret watermelon drink being perfected soon!) Great place for a special evening that isn't stuffy or pretentious. Good wine list with lots of choices for all price ranges. Go!
