Our family celebrated a birthday at Olive & June, and it was a fantastic experience! They absolutely delivered on both food and service. Since it was a special occasion, we went all out and tried a little bit of everything. We were impressed by the:Delicious meatballsCreamy polentaVariety of 3 different pastas (perfect for sharing!)Roasted duck (a unique and flavorful option)Extensive dessert selection (we couldn't resist trying them all!)Everything we tasted was delicious, and the service was attentive and friendly. It was the perfect spot for a celebratory dinner. If you're looking for a great Italian meal in Austin, Olive & June is a must-try!

Our recent experience was on the business side of dealing with the owner. Very professional, proactive and above all - was looking out for the best interests of our group. Much appreciated!

Service was great and food tasted great. However my partner and I the following day had some food poisoning and this is the only this we ate similarly. Wanting to let the restaurant know in case there was an outbreak.

My husband and I chose olive & June for our wedding because the third story is an event space. I do want to say that I’m not NOT recommending this place for an event but I will say proceed with caution. First Amanda who I was working with was not very pleasant. She acted like I was putting her out when I would reach out which wasn’t often. She also rarely answered my emails so I would have to follow up multiple times to get my questions answered. Then we were told we would have valet and if that day was cold, they would lower the tarps and heaters would be on. Day of our wedding, there was no valet so my family was scrambling to try and find parking. We get there and it is 24 degrees out and the tarps are not down so during the ceremony we were absolutely freezing. For the dinner the service was great, however, because the tarps weren’t down the room was still freezing and my grandmothers both had to leave my wedding early bc they were so cold. We were served first and our food was absolutely amazing. I have celiacs and the staff made sure all of my meal was gluten free and prepped separately. Again, it wasn’t terrible but there were a few things that left us disappointed. The food was amazing so maybe check out the restaurant before renting the space.Dietary restrictions: Can accommodate celiacs

Food was incredible. Service was great. Portions were small and I left hungry. It was my birthday and my friends brought me there to celebrate and they did not provide a dessert. Overall good place to check out

Delicious food. Good service. (Not sure why they kept losing my request for coffee after dinner.)

I went here with my boyfriend in October and we both got food poisoning the next day, causing us trips to the ER and missing work that week. The food is OK but it wasn't worth the ER trip and the management ghosted us when we brought up the issue.

FOOD POISONING AND BAD MANAGEMENT GHOSTING CUSTOMERSI went here with my girlfriend on October 21st, 2023 to celebrate an anniversary. We ordered the farm egg polenta, bucatini all'amatriciana, and the pan roasted duck. We initially asked for medium, but the chef came out to recommend medium rare as shown in the menu, then it came out rare (see picture below). The next day, we got food poisoning symptoms and both went to the ER and tested positive for Shigella and E.coli infections. Per the CDC, shigella can come from using bathroom without washing hands and preparing food, and ecoli can come from contaminated meats/veggies.We called the manager to inform the issue and discuss corrective action, and they asked us to send information via email. We emailed them on 10/24, then followed up on 10/27, and 11/6 and were completely ghosted by the management. The food was OK, but I do not recommend dining here due to the risk of food poisoning and poor management.

Olive & June in Austin: a place where the ambiance is as charming as a Tuscan evening, but the portions are so minuscule, you might leave hungrier than you arrived. Imagine dining in an Italian daydream, only to be jolted back to reality by the prices. It's like they're in a fantasy land where you need to trade in a family member to settle the bill - I chose my least favorite child. The wine? Exquisite, as if they know you'll need it to cope with the shock of the check. I'm contemplating a return visit, but it might require a side hustle first. It's the kind of place where you'll find yourself yearning for Olive Garden's never-ending pasta bowl. But, amidst all this, the service was impeccable - they even let me wave goodbye to my child as we left. NOTE: No child was harmed when writing this review.
