This place is a hidden gem for reals! We had the bento box with galbi, spicy fish soup, and a spicy salmon roll. The tempura in the box was the best I've had in Austin. The spicy fish soup included prawns, mussels, fish, AND tofu!! The portions are excellent, flavors were on point, all with great service! Will be visiting again for sure.

I would (and have) drive across Texas to eat this sushi. Even after leaving the Austin area I find myself back here at least twice a year for the danger roll! I have yet to find anyone who can compare to Osaka!

Ordered Sashimi combo (approx.$120) recently. I should have known this place cuts corners when chopsticks they use are the cheapest kind (like Panda Express uses, the thin rounded bamboo). The type of fish used were not premium or freshness. Shiso leaves had dark spots - a sign of leaves that had seen better days. Server never came to check on me but came when I spoke to bring me more wasabi. 3 tables occupied- not that busy. Overall, sashimi quality was inferior & overpriced. Service is not attentive.

I love going to Osaka for sushi! It is the cutest and coziest little sushi restaurant + they always have great service and are willing to accommodate allergy restrictions. I love popping into Osaka for a quick bite and they always so sweet and the sushi is really good and reasonable. Def recommend and frequent Osaka.Parking: Plenty of parking because it's in a plazaWheelchair accessibility: No stairs so easy to get in and out with a wheelchair

Osaka is great. One of the oldest Japanese/Korean restaurants in the Austin area. Korean food is very well made. Sushi is great and prepared with care. Rolls are great. Some of the best baked rolls in the area. Tuna tower exceptional. Staff is great. Food is consistent. Mom and pop cozy shop.

Osaka proved to be a culinary adventure worth savoring. The bimbibap and bulgogi tantalized my taste buds with an exquisite fusion of flavors, leaving a lasting impression. The sushi selection showcased creativity and freshness that elevated the dining experience. The fried rice, though not reaching culinary heights, held its own in a palatable, albeit unremarkable, manner. A solid four out of five stars for the diverse and flavorful journey, where each dish painted a unique stroke on the canvas of my dining escapade.

Warning hidden gem alert! In a strip mall with 1/2 price books and the Austin Aquarium (I know the jokes here?) But honestly this place has such amazing creative combinations for sushi rolls and the service was fantastic! Apparently the regular server, according to my friend who visits there more often, was there tonight and was fabulous. Attentive but not annoying, the sweet spot. You won't be disappointed.

Best sushi i have ever had. Prices are very reasonable, admittedly the service is minimal but the food makes up for it. Highly recommend the tekka maki!!!

I came here for dinner with my girl friend on a Friday night! I had called earlier in the day to ask if I needed a reservation and the staff recommended to -- it was quick and easy to do. I'm glad I called because shortly after we were seated (~6:30pm), the restaurant started getting busy. My metric to test a restaurant's sushi is always to order their chirashi bowl if they offer it, and the chirashi at Osaka Mansun did not disappoint! The portion size is massive - the cuts of nigiri are thick and the chef gave me a great variety. Everything tasted fresh and the garnishes were lovely. I especially appreciate the inclusion of perilla leaf. I ordered another chirashi bowl to-go for my boyfriend and he loved it too! I'll definitely be taking him here in the future.

Ordered the spider roll… My husband and I both took one bite and immediately spit it out. After inspecting the roll, the soft shell crab was yellow and mushy and had a foul taste. We lost our appetite and did not enjoy the experience from there, leaving the rest of our rolls on our plate. We notified the waitress of the bad roll and she said “thank you, I’ll tell the chef”. She did not apologize or offer any refund after seeing our untouched food or the odd looking roll.Tempura fried cauliflower, miso soup and seaweed salad was all good. We love sushi! But we will not be back here.
