My wife and I first encountered the staff from Phoebe's diner during the COVID snowstorm of 2021. They were handing out bread, rolls, and other fresh baked goods free of charge to people that were standing in line at HEB waiting to hopefully get some food as most things were shut down. That act of kindness and generosity convinced my wife and I to go to their restaurant. We couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised at the quality of food! I can honestly say that they have some of the most amazing food in Austin. Try the cheeky monkey, it's a mainstay for us and we introduce it to friends visiting town.

Our server was attentive, patient, and happy to answer our menu questions even accommodating us as we navigated breakfast with our 1-year-old. The diner’s atmosphere was charming and unique, and we especially loved the collectible lunch box display at the entrance. The food itself was absolutely delicious, with so many tempting options to choose from. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. So glad we gave this place a try!

The place was great. We got there early enough to be seated right away. There is both indoor and outdoor seating available. Even though space is limited, the food and service are fast enough that it doesn't seem like people were waiting too long.
I got the brisket burrito, and man, was it good! A little greasy, but delish. I poured the salsa it comes with over my potatoes, * chef's kiss. It has a very small kick but the flavor pairs well with the potatoes. My husband got the flapjacks, which was equally delish. We'll definitely need to come back for more.
