I’m not really a breakfast person but this place does it right!!! Wonderful selections that give you as many savory choices as it does sweet. Loved everything I got! The lemon curd yogurt was pretty nice. If you want eggs, order the Migas!!
Accommodating as well if you need something customized a certain way.
While we were eating I had made a funny face without realizing it and the owner/manager was passing by and immediately checked in and asked if the food was okay and asked if the coffee was hot enough. She did this while running around doing a million other things. So attentive and in tune and I love to see it. Will definitely be back!
TLDR: get the biscuits.

There's good and bad. The pancakes I had were great with lots of blueberries, very well cooked and lovely fruit.
The BBQ platter was too dry for me, I couldn't get through it and couldn't manage more than a few bites before I gave up.
However, the manager was extremely kind when she asked me if I wanted a box and she took care of it for me, so I would definitely come back to try other things!

Diner service and diner atmosphere: They really nail being a diner. I'll say that we expected better from the food and I'll say that because the pancakes were gummy (they also gave us a horribly misshapen one), the hash browns NEEDED the sauce they came with and the omelet, while well cooked, came with more Boursin than anyone should eat in a day.
Glad we came but I'd settle for an old rail car diner over Phoebe's 19 times out of 20.

A small tucked away diner that gives you a homey feeling that you don’t see too often nowadays!
Parking is a bit of a pain, so go during off hours if possible.
Had the brisket burrito which was a little rich in BBQ sauce, wishing I had gone with something else. They have a promising menu. They don’t skimp on portions and the service there is as friendly as it gets.
Great change of pace from chains like First Watch and Snooze. I will have to try more items next time around.

Great food ! I had the wrap with the beets, chèvre, and it was very good. The only issue was that were 4 of us inside and could hardly hear each other. At noon, on a Saturday, it got very, very loud. Next time, I will try to eat on the patio.
Dietary restrictions: Has gluten free and vegetarian dishes.

I've only been here once but the parfait was fantastic. I really wish I would have gone after the shrimp and grits. Maybe next time!

Yea, Phoebe's missed the flavorful, seasoned food for a fair price mark. $5.50 for a "thick" slice of bacon is ridiculous. The grits taste like weeks old sour milk regurgitated by a baby into a bowl (salt and pepper did not help). The biscuits were burnt black and not biscuits but more like sad defeated bread, as if it fought for better flavor and to be circular like other biscuits, but just did not have the right recipe for success bc all the ingredients were missing, including flavor. Overall, it's open early on Sundays, and if they remember to bring food and drinks to your table, you'll be able to drink them!
Not a bad place, possibly better when it's not busy. THE STAFF MANAGER WAS GREAT! ALL OF THE STAFF WERE REALLY NICE!
Loves the plants!

After living in NJ for so many years, I miss going to a legit Diner after moving to Texas. Now I'm not saying this replaces that nostalgia, but i did enjoy this place very much. They have a 2 page menu. This place is mostly known for having a great breakfast menu, but I'm more into the savory than the sweet, so maybe next time. I went with the Patty Melt. The grilled onions were cooked in a sweet glaze, which I didn't mind. The patties were cooked to perfection thick and meaty. Now they happen to carry Bluebird hot sauce, and when I added it to my PM, it became 10x better, the heat with a bit of sweet was awesome!! The customer service is great and the prices are decent, I would definitely come back to try the other menu items, the brisket Burrito seems to be the other hot item, which I definitely need to try.

Food was ok. I'm particular about my drink going empty and it was empty most of my meal.

So I'm looking online... And of course I'm like, "where am I going to eat breakfast?". Because I love me some breakfast... And not just any old breakfast... The kind that has atmosphere, good service, and especially delicious food.
I see staring back at me a result of the attached picture but it was someone else's at the time. And I said I got to own me one of those! Yes that's a whole sausage! Uh huh, that's salsa in the ramekin! Perfect eggs, sourdough toast, and you better believe it... A hash brown casserole!!!
The rest is history, and I suggest you make some history at this breakfast place ASAP! (They have a whole lot more than breakfast, more on that later)
Great music, comfortable, great service, coffee delicious, food out of this world!!!! Go!!!!

When my friend who have lived in Austin their whole lives recommended Phoebe’s Diner and made noises like Homer Simpson, I knew I needed to try this place. I’ve lived all over the south and have tried shrimp and grits everywhere, but Phoebe’s S&G have set the bar. Brunch was phenomenal. Meal was well priced.
I would recommend getting there before the 10am crowd shows up unless you don’t mind waiting for a table. I will definitely come back on my next trip to Austin.
