So many things to note with the experience we had today… I’d like to hope this is just because the establishment is new and therefore still working out the kinks with training, communication, menu items, pricing, etc.1. What kind of burger spot doesn’t have a normal “hamburger” on the menu. They all have cheese here- and no options other than American.2. I asked the lady taking my order at the counter what comes on the burger, and she said “tomatoes and lettuce”, failing to mention the pickles, onion, and sauce that come on it.3. She had a really hard time understanding my order - a hamburger with an extra patty, no cheese. Had to be repeated in 7 different ways that I did not want cheese… guess whose burger still had cheese on it when it came out? (Mine!)4. This is a food establishment but even though there ended up being around 20 people in line, there was still only one register open for food orders. The other was for drinks only— making for a long waiting experience.5. When the runner brought out my burger and I could see it had cheese on it, and I pointed it out, he proceeded to remove the bun with his bare hands to check if it indeed had cheese.6. The $5 portion of sides (tater tots and fries) were both laughably small, not to mention the tots were soggy.7. The meat on the burger was definitely really salty, but that’s more of a personal preference. Otherwise the burger was good!8. Total for the meal for 2 burgers, 1 order of fries, 1 order of tots, and 1 large margarita was $60 (before a tip). Enough said.I will say— the frozen margarita was really good (despite being $18 for a large)! The atmosphere was also really pleasant. Staff was friendly albeit maybe not fully trained just yet. Overall, here’s to hoping feedback is taken seriously and things improve.

Just another example of Austin’s willingness to pay top dollar for complete mediocracy. I understand this place just opened, and they’re working out the kinks. But, why have 3 registers and a ton of employees standing behind the counter to only have 1 person taking orders. We waited in line for 15 mins just to order. I got the $12 Crispy Salad that was nothing more than lettuce with a dressing that tasted like it was straight Vinegar. My husband got the cheeseburger and loaded fries. The patty tasted like it was pulled off the grill at McDonalds. The cheese on the loaded fries was gritty as if they melted the cheapest cheddar and threw it on top. The beers were expensive and I got the Painkiller (frozen tropical marg) that tasted like it had no alcohol. We paid over $64 with tip for a meal that was worth $20.

We live here now! Not really, but we’ve had such great experiences already that it’s the first place to come to mind when we go to answer the ever-looming question, “what should we have for dinner tonight?”We love the chicken sandwich, cheeseburgers, and fried green beans. The boulevarde and cosmo cocktails are great. Our kids finish their entire meal every time we come. The staff is so friendly and calm under pressure, even as the line snakes out the door. Bring friends, let your kids roam freely, and enjoy!

I’m so excited to have a fun restaurant in this location once again. I’m rating it a 3 for now for the following reasons and expecting it to only get better as they get past the opening stage.1) I ordered the Popcorn Shrimp sandwich. The shrimp was not the delectable tiny popcorn shrimp I expected, but bigger shrimp cut into pieces. The sandwich came on bland white bread slices and was quite messy as the contents kept falling out. This sandwich needs a more substantial roll or bun.2) My husband and I were excited to see the return of the Painkiller frozen cocktail from Contigo and we both ordered the 16 ounce. We are pretty sure they left the alcohol out entirely or seriously underpowered the drinks.3) it was chilly so we sat inside. One of only 3 highly desirable booths had work papers, a laptop, satchel, etc but was devoid of customers the entire time we were there. It seemed management had set up camp, taking this comfy spot off the table for customers, so to speak. I’d love to see more booths and less backless benches. My husband enjoyed his burger and the tater tots were good. We were also happy to see Contigo’s crispy green beans on the menu and they were very tasty. We’ll be back and look forward to enjoying the outdoor space in the warmer weather.

Atmosphere is super kid friendly and chill. Drinks were good. Side bar so you can skip the like to get drinks. Food was decent. Husband got the eggplant sandwich and he loved it. I got the crunchy salad and it was disappointing. Lettuce and some radish shavings at a mediocre size; no other veggies. That was it. Will return in a few months once they figure out their system. Line was outrageous.

Cool idea and good vibes, but there's a lot of competition for your burger dollar in ATX. Burger lacked a lot of flavor and is a small patty. For the same price or a little more you can get a 8oz patty with tons of toppings at jewboy, or a 4oz here.

Excellent smash burgers, fries and margs! I am so down for self-serve soft serve, how fun!

Way overpriced. Two beers, with one double cheeseburger and fries, nearly $50 (with tax and tip). Beers were $10 each (plus tax and tip) if you're just drinking. If money's no object, sure, spend away. The cheeseburger wasn't bad, but you'd be better off going to Batch, which is just behind Redbud, for beer and kolaches and you won't feel ripped off. EDIT: The owner claims below that the "schooner" beers were $8 and $9. Nope. $10 each, plus tax and tip. I've got the receipt. Have you lowered your prices? You need to.

It doesn't get much better than sitting outside and enjoying a margarita with people you love!We went for the soft opening and had a wonderful experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful when we had questions about the menu. I had the chicken sandwich and my husband tried the fried shrimp sandwich and both were excellent! I can definitely recommend getting the battered and fried green beans as well.We had a great time and will definitely be back soon!

Tried redbud ice house opening weekend and it's an exciting new addition to the neighborhood! Since I've been living in the neighborhood this spot has been 3 different places so I'm excited to see this place exceed. Tasty no fuss kinda meals (hamburgers and fried green beans)! Counter service and plenty of parking. Can't wait to go back!

Was lucky to be invited to the soft opening and tried most of the menu and returned again for the grand opening. The cheeseburger is delicious and the fried pickle spears were my favorite! I also really loved the grilled chicken sandwich and tots. Must try the soft serve and the fried green beans. Best frozen margarita I’ve ever had and they use my favorite tequila- Lalo! There is also a play area for the kids to run around while I enjoyed my margarita.

Updating my review, as promised! Checked out Redbud during opening weekend and was pleasantly surprised! First, plenty of parking in the open lot. Second, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available. It was drizzling a little when I went so I sat inside, but the outside patio seating looks awesome, and I'm looking forward to checking that out when the weather is better. My partner and I signed up for the email list a few weeks ago and received a code for a free drink each to be redeemed during opening weekend. We also each ordered a sandwich with our drinks, and everything was tasty! The staff were very friendly, as well, and kept rounding the tables to check on everyone. I am excited to come back and check Redbud out again! They are serving a limited menu at the moment but will open the menu up soon, which will be awesome.
