Rice Bowl Cafe is one of those places you stumble upon and wonder why you haven’t been going there all along. The portions are big, the flavors are bold, and the prices are super fair. Favorites? The thee cup chicken, and anything over rice. The mushroom basil and spinach was also incredible. It’s simple, satisfying, and consistently good.
so good 😊
Delicious
This is a definite must try. The food was excellent, a recommend the shrimp in lobster sauce. Easy access and plenty of parking.
Oh my god. COME TO THIS RESTAURANT. Every dish was soooo flavorful, you have no idea. The pig ear is the best I’ve ever had. The pork feet rice has a more subtle taste, but so rich and satisfying. Then there’s the salt and pepper triple, which is perfectly fried and so tasty.
Excellent food! The service is great, nice little family restaurant with Chinese food staples.
Best Chinese food in town
Portions are big, food is fresh. Definitely gotten better over time.
My go to place in North Austin for authentic Chinese food. They have an excellent lunch menu available until 3PM. The regular menu is extensive with large portions that can easily be shared. Good prices - one appetizer, 2 dinner entrees (one with an upcharge for low mein instead of rice), plus 4 cokes was $48

Consistently delicious. Highly recommend this place if you have been disappointed by other Chinese food spots in Austin.
EDIT: after making this review, this place continues to shine amongst other disappointing choices. For example, Tso delivery started out great but has consistently declined.
Please show this local establish and the people who run it some love.
Our go to restaurant in Austin. Curry beef yum yum 😋
Great food, the only dish I mostly get is the Mapo Tofu, ask for less salt, unless you like salt. It is one of their best dishes.
Amazing food! We came as a group and ordered a few dishes (the Curry Chicken, Pepper Chicken, Happy Family, 3 Cup Chicken and a scallion pancake)
My favorite was definitely the Happy Family but all the dishes were great and had big portions. We had a lot of leftovers!
Service was great and the whole place was very clean. I definitely found a new favorite restaurant.
my go to spot in town, excellent service and wonderful people. Get the 3 Cup Squid, three cup chicken, beef rolls, full sized entree, everything is decent on the menu, the staff is very nice and provides excellent service
