The best barbecue in town! Plates are full and the barbecue sandwiches are-my favorite. You can put the trimmings on yourself. The sides and drinks or available while you’re in line. Pretty reasonable, too.

So hard to believe what is technically gas station bbq can actually be so good; loved the turkey, brisket, and ribs; they check every cut with you to ensure you’re happy with everything you’re buying, and service is all around top notch. Breakfast tacos are quick and easy for the price, all around much better than expected

Today around 3 I went here for lunch. Usually I get great service, but today was horrendous. I ordered moist outside and the carver put about a pound of mangled old dry brisket that didn't resemble a worthy slice. Then proceeded to bury it in half a pound of decent looking brisket. Usually the cashier will show it to me to make sure I find the cuts satisfactory. This one didn't. I brought the indiscretion to his attention. He replied "that's just the way it looks on the back end. He literally refused to do his job. I didn't feel like fighting him for fresh brisket but it was honestly the worst service and meal I've ever had there. I also got a pint of cream corn that was more stale than the saltine crackers in my grandma's pantry. Needless to say I should have taken the empty restaurant as a sign. You broke my heart Rudy's. It's Terry Black's or bust from now on.

Ordered through door dash, and didn’t get any utensils or napkins. Called to complain and didn’t get any response from the store. Very disappointed!! Done with Rudy’s!!!

I love Rudy’s Green Chili Stew - I eat it 3 times a week as a weight management tool. I take home a quart at a time, pick out most of the potatoes, and mix part of the remaining stew 50/50 with chicken stock I make in a pressure cooker from grocery store-bought roasted chicken carcasses (and throw in a smoked turkey leg to make), and add either chicken meat or some Rudy’s turkey. Complete filling meal, only about 350 calories.

I also love their service. They usually remember who I am when I go in. When I moved across town recently and changed locations, the new location didn’t have wheat bread, only white. I sent an email to HQ to ask for it - they responded the next day, and within 2 weeks had it as a regular offering in their restaurant.

It’s a well-run customer-centric organization with friendly staff and good food at great prices. A great Texas institution.

Really bad service. I had ordered online went to the store to get my food. I was looking on their table for my name and some employee assumed I was trying to steal the bags of food. The employee did not even asked for my receipt nor my name. She just assumed..
After all they even forgot my potato salad from my order of over $140 .
I used to shop here for Bar-B-Q all the time but not no more. I guessed you can't be train on customer service. You either have it or you don't.
