Violet Sky Rooftop Lounge

We were here for a holiday party and it was an awrsome atmosphere. I didn't eat anything because we ate before going to the event, but they had to bring out more food-so it must have been good. Beautiful terrace.

Currently in the middle of a Rooftop Bar Tour of Austin and this place really caught our eye for 2 reasons. Great vegetarian choices for my boyfriend, and it was a last minute decision to go out tonight so it was really appealing that this place was only a 15 minute drive and not in downtown so we could avoid the chore of finding a parking spot. One of our favorite things about rooftop bars are the ambiance and views. Unfortunately, this rooftop bar has one appealing view on the far end, and none of the cozy seats faced the angle of the view. The mural painting on the wall is beautiful and it gave a unique "Austin" touch to the place. We sat down and tried to order on our phones but it seems the ordering options on your phone are for take out versus ordering there, so we had to walk up to the bar and give our order for food and drinks directly to the bartender. At this time there were only about 2 other people at the bar and an older couple there as well so it wasn't like they had a ton of people there. After nearly half an hour our drinks were ready at the bar, and my boyfriend went to the bar to get them and brought them over, while a server there brought our food out about a minute later. By this time the bar had filled up with more groups, but the half hour wait for drinks still seemed a bit unreasonable. I got one of their quesadillas and my boyfriend got a flatbread and I have to say they were both excellent! Our drinks were very tasty as well. We were both stuffed by the end as the food is filling. They had plenty of delicious sounding options rather than just one or two stand outs, so that was a positive difference from other places we've tried! Overall, if you're staying at the hotel or are in the area and are looking for a casual place to have some easy but delicious food and drinks with friends it's a nice place to check out.

The pecan bread pudding was awesome. The vanilla bean ice cream was delicious. The drinks were also expertly made.

This is a really nice place and I want to come here more, but they really need to adjust their prices. Any cocktail or a glass of wine will be $16-$20. Considering the location and that it's a nice, but not luxury hotel bar, it's hard to justify the spend.

Great hotel and service. Sue was fantastic at breakfast. This AC hotel was in a great location close to the office. Clean, great staff and amenities. Really liked the roof top bar. Fantastic view. Walkable location to some decent restaurants as well.

Sue is the best !!! The hotel is very clean rooms are great. The bfast is always amazing the freshly shaved prosciutto. All the team is always friendly and welcoming. Perfect place to stay away from the traffic. The views are immaculate. The team is always helpful and ensure your stay is excellent

Sue is the best and did a great serving breakfast and lunch! We had great time at the hotel and service was awesome. Room was modern, clean! TV service and WIFI worked great. Wooden floors instead of rug is great. Shower setup was awesome!

This was my first time visiting this hotel. We stopped by just to check it out after dining ar a nearby restaurant. The lounge was very comfortable and we were taken care of by Taj who was very hospitable and went out of his way to make us feel welcomed. He made great conversation while he crafted his mixed drinks for us. I would highly recommend going there just to hang out for a relaxing evening with Taj at the bar.

What a great team this location has put together. Warm welcoming morning staff, Sue and Jessica are wonderful. They get to know the guests in a genuine manner and really remember what's going on with everyone. I'm glad the management have these people working here. Every morning I look forward to the service with a personal touch. As well the chef Maria always makes fantastic food. They even work with my asks for additions and changes in the food selection. Thank for a great stay.
