Honestly, I avoided this place for years in my time in Austin and finally stopped by... wish I hadn’t waited so long. No frills, no gimmicks, just a solid, well-made burger. The meat patty was flavorful, the bacon perfectly crispy, and the fries were hot and perfectly salted. Sometimes simple done right really hits the spot! I'll be back.

Had not been here in years. Always loved them in the past and they did not disappoint this trip. Burger was perfect and presented nicely layered and wrapped. Fries were perfectly cooked. Not a single burnt fry. Drive thru was kind and smiling!

In today's burger market. The retro stylings of this burger shop continue its ways into our burger belly's. Pulled up to the old school ordering speaker. It's like living back in the 90s reading off an outdated menu. These burger shops get it simple fry the patty, slap it on buns, and collect the money. Much respect to this relic model with standing the test of time. Burger average at best service was better than most. Stylings as retro as possible. $6.26 for the 1/4 lbs. Cheeseburger today. I am posting to see if the prices ever go down. For a quick burger, stop by the Short Stop to get you in and out.

Bad service charge 😕$39 for two plates like this one but one was to have a double order of fried okra and the other fries 🍟 an no toast really a hamburger bun🤨🤔now we trying to call them with these nasty hush puppies burnt 🔥 an they are not picking up the phone 🤨 we need or money back. First time at this one but we always go to the one by fiesta an the one on berkman they give good service and good food. and you get mints 😊 well they lied to us. So why they charge us but it not on the receipt 🤔
