Very under-rated restaurant. Burgers were very fresh and perfectly cook. The fries were crispy and salted to perfection and the service from Francisco was exceptional. Even though it is a long drive from San Antonio, can't wait to come back to this location.

Honestly not sure what some of the lower reviews are talking about. We have always had great service and food from this location.The staff have never been anything other than polite and accommodating. All of them we've dealt with were absolute sweetheartsThe fries are super fresh and hot every time. The burgers are exactly what a good burger should be. They look great when you unwrap them. Never dry, and the vegetables aren't soggy or stale.And when you factor in the price, it's a win win. I definitely recommend parking and eating immediately after getting your food. You won't regret it

The last few times we had their burgers, the ingredients were fresher, patty had more flavor (higher quality) and fries were flavorful and had great texture! We have several burger places with a block of one another off of Anderson Lane and Short Stop has earned our business back. Y'all keep toasting the burger bun. So good!

Like the name says, it is a short stop. Very good fast food, always, always friendly and quick. The fish sandwich is my favorite.
Close by, they always get the order right, everything is hot and the people who work there are really nice.

I read a few reviews on here and was worried the burgers would be too flat so I got a double, halfway through I was quite full ? the outside of the burger was pretty dry while the inside was juicy, so that was interesting. I would've preferred it be juicy all throughout, but that's okay. It's better than McDonald's when you bite into the good parts, the fries were absolutely terrible though, which was disappointing. They really had no flavor whatsoever.Personally, not something I would make into a routine. It's okay for a quick stop when you've got to hurry and go, but I wouldn't say this is top tier.

I've been at least a bi-weekly Short Stop eater for the past few years. Last month, I took my order to eat at a picnic table at the nearby HEB and discovered a long, intricate hair inside my fries. It weaved around them, much like a snake in some grass. I took a photo to remember the occasion. For context, I am a man with very short hair. Seeing as their website has no contact info, not even an email, I brought my findings back to the restaurant. At first, they did not wish to do anything. A few minutes later, they offered me new fries with no apology. Is it too much to ask to replace a hairy $12 meal and say "Sorry about that?" Apparently it is and they would rather have a chargeback and embarrassing review.
