Ski Shores Cafe Reviews
Way too expensive now. Been going there for 45 years but now it’s just too much for a burger.
Ski Shores Cafe on Lake Austin is the ultimate spot to chill with great food and drinks. It's got a laid-back vibe, perfect for hanging out with friends or family. Friendly staff and weekend live music enhance the experience. It's my top pick for easygoing meals, especially by boat. Just a tip: dock on the side for easier access on busy days, as front slips can be tricky with boat waves.
way too expensive. they have doubled if not tripled their prices. now they have a mandatory 20% gratuity tip as well. safe to say I won't be going back. I'm not paying $18 for a regular burger. or $20 something for a poboy. I've been coming here since 2010 and food was reasonably priced until now.

Ski Shores Cafe offers a scenic view of Lake Austin and delicious food, making it a popular destination for many customers. The location is unbeatable, providing a great lakeside atmosphere with a chill crowd, music, and the option to bring furry companions. The staff is friendly and ensures a pleasant dining experience, allowing customers to chat and enjoy the friendly vibes. However, some visitors have noted limited parking and relatively high food prices.
Customers order drinks from the bar and experience prompt service, although the new QR code ordering system has received mixed reviews, with some finding it impersonal. The food includes the renowned lobster roll and fried pickles, while the tuna tostadas are also good. Although the food is just okay, the atmosphere is the highlight, making it perfect for a laid-back afternoon with friends or family. While the cafe has undergone changes with new owners, it remains a recommended spot for enjoying the views and chill setting, with the potential for further improvements, especially in the wine selection and pricing.
