600 Degrees Austin (Slapbox Parmer)

Unfortunately, today was my last order at this location. I've been a customer at this location for a while now (10? 15? orders to date) - (it was) a pretty good pizza, close to my place. Well, the last 3 times I've noticed a significant decrease in pizza quality and inconsistency. Once it was soaking in oil, once it was covered all around THICK in jalapenos... However, that's nothing.

Today we were told upon pick up that one of our pizzas got burned and they had to remake it. Fine. Got home, started to eat... literally the first bite and I got a piece of glass scratching between my teeth. Oh, I'm very lucky it was the first bite and I felt it. Maybe it's just a coincidence, but maybe the pizza wasn't burned - maybe they just shattered some glass around, and didn't throw out nearby ingredients? Anyways, I called the place, they offered a refund, but the damage was done.

Owner, get your act together, save the place.

Exceptional service and food was great! Have been there a couple of times, most recently with a large party. Jonathan, Jared and Scott were attentive and very helpful. Will be coming back!

We love Scott!!! And Abby! We come here every Friday night for pizza and a beer. Service is excellent, food is delicious and Abby and Scott are the best and a huge part of why we keep coming back every week!

I’ve been a loyal customer at 600 Degrees (Slapbox) Pizza on W Parmer for years — it’s been a regular lunch spot for me and my son. Unfortunately, today was the first time I left truly disappointed.

I came in around 11:30 AM on June 13th to place a to-go order for a 14” pepperoni pizza, and it took over 30 minutes to receive it. During that time, there was no communication from staff about any delay. The restaurant wasn’t busy, and no one checked on us.

When I asked about the order, the bartender, Jonathan, told me there were 21 pizzas ahead of mine — but said it in a way that made it feel like the wait was somehow my fault. He never apologized and made me feel like an inconvenience. Instead, he mentioned his kitchen manager was “killing it,” which just added to the dismissiveness.

It was really disheartening, especially because this has been a place my son and I enjoy together often. We’ve never had an issue before today, but this experience left a bad impression.

I hope management sees this and addresses it — not just the delay, but the way it was handled. I’d love to come back, but it’s hard to support a small neighborhood business when regular customers are treated this way.

Waited 30 minutes for a simple to-go order while everyone around us dining in got their food first. We only ordered 1 simple small pepperoni pizza and that’s it. When we asked how much longer they made it seem like it was our fault for ordering and kept making random excuses that no customer wants to hear. I go here all the time but I’m now very disappointed in the service here. I really hope they learn and improve cause they didn’t respect us or our time at all.

Service will be this places downfall. Doesn’t matter how good your food is, if it takes 40 minutes for a slice of pizza, good luck staying in business!
