Great Hamburger. They added avocado and it hit the spot. The hotel is a bit dated but the staff was friendly and the food was delicious.

I booked at this Embassy Suites because it had a high customer rating, it was in close proximity to the Austin Convention Center and other venues I would be visiting for my stay for Afrotech 2023. From the moment I walked into the front doors, it felt welcoming, as John D. was there to greet me with smiles and welcoming, fun comments! When I checked in, I knew my stay would be great as I was in Room 711. This was THE best hotel stay I have ever experienced! The Front Desk staff - Truvelle, Audrey, Shante, and Natalie, executed hospitality and customer service at its finest! Every question, request, inquiry, and asking of directions from me, was met with priority responses and actions! The room was spacious and very comfortable for my 5-night stay. The bed was as comfortable as it looked online - even a tad more comfortable! The shower! The shower! It was a delight each day, twice a day! The Housekeeping staff were very thorough and cleaned my room daily as requested. The Engineering staff were quick - completed the task with speed and efficiency for my room safe. SoCo Bar/Lounge had AMAZING food and cocktails yet the best to experience there is their bartenders and waitstaff. The decor - BEAUTIFUL! Again, THE WAITSTAFF WERE EXCEPTIONAL! I stopped the Hotel Manager in his tracks to share my thoughts on his hotel snd its staff. I knew I’d write a review yet try as much as possible to provide in-person feedback on my experiences. He smiled and thanked me! Beautiful hotel, great amenities and location, yet the most beautiful thing about this place, is their staff!
I honestly thought Hilton brands had gone down before this hotel. Literally not one complaint. The evening reception area was so nice. The breakfast was awesome. But the employees really make this place great. Every single person we encountered was so nice and helpful. It was crazy. Top notch. Room is exactly what you expected. Temperature was perfect. Would definitely stay again.
A very high priced, very tired property in an unbeatable location. Walk across the street to the Congress Avenue Bride and path along the river. Short walk to the Capitol and nightlife. Room had some issues, see photos. Front desk was friendly and did their best. Ditto bar/restaurant staff. Parking lot not attached to the building. Better off finding a spot on the street. The location is the draw here, and yes we'd stay again, when rooms are on sale.
The housekeeper, Mary, is incredible. She so fast and detailed. She’s super friendly and fun to talk to while she cleans. The only downside is that the bar serves watered down drinks and the menu never changes.
If you are in Austin for business DO NOT come here. The wifi is terrible, it can’t even support social media use let alone a zoom call. I have attempted to use it on multiple devices with different accessing codes. Unless you’re prepared to use at least 2 gigs of data, don’t bother with this hotel. I also asked the front desk for help 3 times and no one could get it work. It wasn’t just me either, my coworker who is staying in the same hotel but different floor and room had the same issues. Downstairs is nicely renovated but the rooms are not. Old, dirty, and busted. I dropped something behind the night stand and found piles of dust. Bathroom lights are kind of a joke and take a minute to turn on. CHECK YOUR SHEETS before you get into bed that first night. We found stains and hairs. Here for a full week (Thursday to Thursday) for a conference, I will never stay at an Embassy Suites or Hilton property if I have a choice ever again.
We visited for a work conference. We found the hotel clean and convenient for work and to to quickly meet our needs to rest and rejuvenate for the next day. Our house keeper Mary was friendly and helpful. The Omelet cook weekday morning 10/2 & 3rd was as well too!
For an older hotel Embassy Suites offers excellent accommodations, clean rooms and public areas, and a great breakfast buffet! We attended for an International Conference and the staff could not have been more helpful, always greeting us with a smile on their faces. Staff exuded Big Texas Hospitality!
My compliments to Mary, our house keeping provider. She was very thoughtful and detailed. We travel quite often and can't remember the last time someone did such an amazing job. Kudos and thank you Mary!
I’m glad I reserved this location. It’s on congress st. Lots of shops south of hotel. Across the street is where many people come to see the bays fly at night. Not too impressed with the parking lot that needs some sprucing up. The staff was friendly and the 2 queen beds room was nice. The interior reminds me of the Luxor in Las Vegas.

Disgusting rooms. Found dead bedbugs when stripping the sheets at checkout. Ants in every wet area (bathroom, wet bar). Peeling wallpaper and disrepair at every turn. Easily the grossest hotel I've ever stayed at. The only compensation offered was free parking. Beware--good location, better-than-average price but you'll pay for it in other ways. I'll never stay here again!
Chante patiently worked with the hotel management and a team of us in Austin on business to resolve a complicated reservation issue so that we were able to get a block of rooms at the required rate. This greatly enhanced our ability to get our business taken care of efficiently. Very much appreciated!
Very disappointed in my stay. My family and I always choose embassy suites wherever we go but this was by far the worst. We were charged $35 dollars for an early chech in even though the room was ready. Then we had to move to another room because the a/c didn’t work. The room we moved to was sub par with mold in the bathroom and very worn out carpets, etc. Many other options in Austin to choose from. Will never stay here again.
When my colleagues and I arrived, we realized that our reservation was one room for 3 adults vs 3 individual rooms. We needed govt per diem and there was no govt rate rooms available. Our option was to move 2 of our 3 people to a separate hotel which would have been very inconvenient given all the meetings we were attending together. The front desk supervisor, Chante, was able to work with hotel management and get two additional rooms at the government rate. We were so very appreciative, and she was so kind and understanding of our predicament. If I had the opportunity to hire Chante, I would in a heartbeat!! The whole stay was pleasant, the rooms nice and lovely staff.
This was one of the worst hotel experiences for an expensive chain hotel. Pros and cons listed: 1) was unable to check in on time. At 4:15pm, was still waiting and left the line to eat. Made us late and off schedule as we were atfe ding a conference. 2) Temperature in rooms was hot. Thermo said 72 but I was able measure the temperature with an app and it qas in fact 78. 3) found 2 baby roaches in bathroom area 4) front desk staff completely indifferent to any issues 5) crumbling ceiling paint, couch shredding, generally not what was expected asthetically. 6) breakfast, omelette cook, and morning greeter were incredible.
