Such a cute little spot for a brunch - especially on a day where the weather is great! The staff were amazing during today’s visit. No complaints there. Definitely a family friendly location. I tried their breakfast sandwich but I wasn’t too much of a fan because of the overpowering arugula flavor. Fries were good though! Would definitely be okay with coming back to try a different dish.

Great place to hang out and have some decent food and drinks. Ambiance is killer and ordering is super easy via QR code (nice to not have anyone bugging you in this setting) but the food is fine not great. I’d go to hang but probably eat somewhere else.

Awesome space. Great food and great serving tables technology. I was very impressed with the ordering/payment method and the quality of food despite how busy the place always is.

First time here was interesting. You just order from a QR code and boom, food is out. If you’re into very little interaction with the staff then you’re at the right place! The food was also amazing!

Interesting vibe. I had never been. The burger was delicious. The place is bustling and folks are everywhere. The market had several vendors selling their wares. Picnic tables, order by qr code and a market...a nice Sunday afternoon experience.Parking: It is in a neighborhood.

We stopped by Sour Duck Market on a Friday for lunch. I was disappointed that their brunch menu was available but their regular food and pastry option are still great. We ordered the fried chicken sandwich, marinated beets, Tx farm salad with fried chicken, and the fresh squeezed orange juice. For pastries we ordered the buckwheat financier and the star anise snickerdoodle. The fresh OJ was amazing and reminded me instantly of the fresh squeezed OJ I would make with my mom. It was a glass of nostalgia and a must have. The fried chicken sandwich was tasty but I did not agree with the sandwich accoutrements as they got a bit tiring after just half of the sandwich. The fries were amazing and had an extra Cajun/old bay style seasoning. The salad was extremely filling and full of a variety of ingredients like turnips and strawberries. Definitely a substantial salad. The accompanying fried chicken was also tender and fried with a satisfying chewy yet crispy batter. The marinated beets came with potato chips and a sour cream sauce. If you’ve been to Odd Duck this combination of chips is reminiscent of their ceviche and to me reminded me of a play on steak tartare with beets instead of steak. The beets were tasty but I found there was way too much sauce on the bottom. Towards the end I found myself trying to scrape the sauce off the beets due to how overpowering and almost sickening the sauce became. The pastries were both amazing. The buckwheat financier was the moistest pastry I’ve had in a long time. The flavor was subtly sweet and had a great buckwheat flavor which I personally liked. The star anise snickerdoodle was also tasty and an interesting combination that I personally enjoyed.Sour Duck market is a great place to try some interesting food while enjoying the outdoor energy that Austin is known for. I would recommend trying their pastries and a select number of the main entrees, and could see myself coming back for happy hour.

I have been to Sour Duck Market on many occasions and have typically had good experiences. The food is some of the best casual dining in Austin which brings lines which we are always prepared for - but today the service was disappointing. We placed an online order to try to expedite a little, which was a mistake. It took 45 min past the pick up time and waiting in store for the staff to deliver an incorrect coffee order and 3 ice cold pastries. Unless operations improve the food, although good, is not worth it.

Fun place to hang but unfortunately the pastries are not that great. I tried a couple of pastries on my previous visit and they were good but not great. Today they were far from great....actually bad. Almond croissant was dry, Kouign-Amann was dry and very little caramelized sugar. Neither of the pastries were flakey or crisp....which is the hallmark of a good croissant. I even wondered if what I received was day old goods...won't be going back

Excellent food, atmosphere and service. You can tell they take their ingredients seriously. The secret sauce on the burger is the right amount of spicy and tangy. Fries still had the skin on and flavored well. The $4 giant chocolate chip was worth it.Parking: Horrible parking options from what I could see. I luckily found open street parking.
