Amazing cozy place where you can grab a coffee and work, read a book or enjoy a drink while having a nice chat. You can also order some delicious tacos if you get hungry. The staff is really friendly and attentive.Highly recommend this place!

Oh mercy ... I looked up the route to a different place to breakfast; but saw Stinson's on the list and was turning at their corner. So I changed plans and stopped there. Great service ... an Americano coffee made right away while I was paying. And the breakfast tacos were great! the salsa amazing. So I bought a couple extra tacos for take-out.The only improvement I could suggest is window treatments so there are more places to sit out of the sunlight.

Worst tacos I’ve had in Austin. Everything else about the place was good though.

What is it about a perfectly hot coffee and why is it so hard to find? I first reviewed Stinson's 8 years ago. Austin has changed a lot. We are covered in coffee shops now. But this place is still great. The joy is in the details. Here they are:The avocado toast uses real avocados, not the prepared mush that I've been getting at some of my other haunts-- and they have perfectly fried eggs. The salsa is freshly made and truly hot. They are very dog friendly-- water bowls are on the patio.Wifi is strong--man is that important. I've been working remotely in coffee shops since 2010. Bad wifi can wreck an hour of work if you have to leave and find another place. But it's always been strong here.In winter, when other coffee places are cold, relying on the people to make it warm, I always bring a coat. But Stinson's is so cozy. The windows capture the heat of the sun. In the summer, the windows open all the way to the ceiling, and the place is literally cool. Architects are clever like that when you hire the right ones. Stinson's must have.In the evening, if it's open, Stinson's is like a different place. The coffee cocktails give everything a fun, edgy buzz. When coffee cocktails first became fashionable around Austin, I remember Stinson's being one of the first to offer them. Unfortunately, it's usually not open late, and right now, they don't seem to have any evening programming. In fact, the hours on the website are wrong. I've come in at 4pm recently to find them closing. But businesses do what they can right now.The staff is friendly and very conscientious. Food is brought hot, right away. I can't say that for a lot of places I loved before the pandemic. The parking situation is definitely one to plan for. It's so much easier if you enter from 45th street than if you enter from Burnet Rd. But it's not worse than the parking in 75% of Austin now. And, as mentioned before, something about the temperature of the coffee tells you that everything is made with the goal of being exactly right.

I ordered a cappuccino. It was watered down and didn’t taste good. Taco had lots of eggs, tiny amount of bacon, cheese was not melted on top and tortilla was cold on top but ingredients tasted fresh. Would not return

Coffee was fine (black) and breakfast taco was generously filled. There was an event I attended here and the place seemed really understaffed for it. The two people working were kind and doing there best, but maybe the scheduling team didn't schedule them properly. I also got the impression that the employee who usually makes the food wasn't slated to arrive until 30 minutes after our event start time. I didn't receive the taco I ordered at 7:35 (let's say 7:40 to be generous) until 8:15, and it was wrong. My coffee was also the wrong size after confirming but I was given a bigger size so it wasn't the end of the world

Some of the tacos are over oiled but the mochas are good and the atmosphere is great!

Iced tea and drip coffee were both delicious! Lots of flavors available for your latte or Americano. Also, a full bar with great priced specials. And a patio ?.Check hours before you go, limited kitchen hours and only open in the evening certain nights.

I'm not in town a lot, but I often stop in at Stinson's for coffee to meet clients or just get out of my house to work. Last week I needed a change of scenery and a little pick me up. It was close to 4 PM, but Raul was happy to help and allow me time to work, even though the business was closed. Finishing up my work and already feeling like I had overstayed my welcome, I unknowingly forgot my wallet that contained all my ID's for the US and other countries along with a lot of cash. Later than evening I noticed I couldn't find my wallet. I was sure I had searched every location I had stopped by, but completely overlooked stopping in at Stinson's. Less than 5 days later I was flying out of the country and was left scrambling for replacements. Yesterday Raul drove over to my house and dropped off my wallet to my husband. More than a week later this individual took time out of his day to locate my home address and return what I had left. Nothing was missing! Not only is Stinson's known for their great coffee, beverages, tacos and service, but this business owner truly exemplifies what the definition of integrity and being of service to his community means. Thank you, Raul. Next time I am in town I will stop by during regular business hours and enjoy my favorite drink and hopefully thank you in person. Sincerely, Stephanie
